I was looking at the option for customers to pay a deposit instead of the full amount (for instance this plugin) but then I thought it would not integrate with the multi-vendor marketplace, as is.
Obviosuly, the official Woo addon price is utterly ridicolous (as usual). So, do you think you will include the option for vendors to assign a percent/fixed amount of deposit for each product they create?
Or would you write a little script/addon so that we could include the above plugin?

As you already know there is no direct support of deposit flow on our end.
However, there is some plugin like: https://wordpress.org/plugins/deposits-for-woocommerce/

Can you contact them regarding the compatibility? We are willing to work on this intigration.

but I would first ask you to do full testing and see exactly where you need the compatibility. So we can work on these areas.

Hello again. I have tested the “Deposit” plugin and it integrates smoothly into Woocommerce. I believe it’s well coded and you can also see in their introduction video that it just adds a new custom field into a product. So I believe this is the only feature that would need compatibility with WCMP, because I tested from a Vendor account and he cannot see that feature when adding a new product. The rest is all managed by Woocommerce.
Tell me your thoughts. I guess you can also test at your end… and you can investigate the code.

Criss, please do one small test. Create a product from the admin end, configure the deposit field and assign that to the vendor.
Check whether the whole checkout and commission payment is correct.

update from Deposit plugin author: “I checked the hooks. Right now we’re busy with other projects and once we’ve time we’ll add this into the next release.”

as we have not worked with this plugin therefore we wont be able to point on anything .
also , it will be very difficult for us to test any other third party plugin as it is a very time taking process at the same time we currently don’t have the bandwidth to provide any such testing .
you can also test it from your end and let us know in details .
