ParticipantHi,
I’ve noticed a few issues on our clients site that I’m not sure how to resolve from looking at the options.
– I’d like to have the map centered on the UK, even if no vendors have yet added their address.
– I’ve also tried setting a map address for a test vendor (as admin) but it doesn’t appear to be saving that location?
– I noticed that going through the cart with a bookable product is now adding a shipping cost (weight based option) – I’ve temporarily added a local pickup option for shipping. But I think this was working previously to not add a shipping cost for services/bookableThanks,

KeymasterHello Cyan,
Thanks for reaching out to us. Please find our replies inline with your queries:
– I’d like to have the map centered on the UK, even if no vendors have yet added their address.
>> Could you please share some screenshots or a short video describing the flow you are referring to? This will help us better understand the issue and assist you accordingly.
– I’ve also tried setting a map address for a test vendor (as admin) but it doesn’t appear to be saving that location?
>> We’re aware of an issue where vendor store addresses set from the admin side are not being saved. Our team is already working on a revamp of the plugin, and this will be addressed in the upcoming version.
– I noticed that going through the cart with a bookable product is now adding a shipping cost (weight based option) – I’ve temporarily added a local pickup option for shipping. But I think this was working previously to not add a shipping cost for services/bookable.
>> We’ve tested the booking flow on our end, and if weight-wise shipping is not configured, no shipping charges are being applied. Could you please check if shipping might have been added from the vendor’s end?
Kindly check and keep us posted with your findings so we can assist you further.

KeymasterHello there, Thank you for getting back to us with the details. Please find our responses inline with your queries:
— The map is on the frontend where the vendor list is, see attached. Even if there wasn’t any stylist with addresses in, it would be good to have it focussed on the UK rather than this random point. https://afrostylists.com/book-a-stylist/
>> By default, the map relies on the API to load locations and will automatically display points once vendor addresses are added. If you would like the map to always center on a specific location (e.g., the UK) even when no addresses are available, this will require a customization. Specifically, you’ll need to configure the API to set a default center point. For details on which parameters to add and how to adjust them, we recommend contacting your map provider, as they can guide you on setting the appropriate configuration.
— Ok that makes sense regarding the saving – when will that fix be released?
>> Our development team is currently working on a major revamp of MultiVendorX, including restructuring and the implementation of new technologies to deliver a more modern and seamless experience. This update will address the saving issue, and once released, you should no longer face this problem.
— On this website is a product shop owned by the website – with weight-based shipping set up. Then there is a vendor marketplace with bookable services. I noticed going through the checkout for a service added on a shipping fee. Obviously, for a service where you go to the person, you shouldn’t be paying a shipping cost. https://afrostylists.com/product/wig-making-2/
>>For service-type products, vendors can simply mark the product as virtual. Once marked as virtual, shipping fees will no longer appear at checkout.
If you have any other queries or concerns, please feel free to share them with us—we’ll be happy to assist.
