Why is it so difficult to expand your shortcode “vendorlist” by more functions such as filter by taxonomy?

We have soon 400+ vendors on our site and they are from different locations. So we need the following solution:

1) How to add a custom taxonomy which does not appear on product or shop category for the users such as location/city? So it should be possible to assign a vendor to a certain location/suburb/city and have this as a separate filter on the frontend

2) Include this what I just wrote under 1) in the short list, so we can have a menu item “all citis” with sub-menu items for each suburb. On this page, I would like to use the shortcode “vendorlist” and instead of using a “order” parameter, I want to have a “filter by suburb” parameter.

I cannot believe that this is too complicated, can you please help us to archive this?

@Debleena: Can you share what settings we have to make in order to show all available pins on the map as default instead of just one? When I try this with our vendorslist map, it shows inly 1 vendor pin and ONLY AFTER entering an address, all other pins appear.

@Veedel, in our next update (which will have enhanced vendor list module) we will display vendor’s location that is nearest to the admin, by default.

Currently, the customer needs to provide their location, and the vendor nearest to their location will be displayed.

@nikhilpbhoyar, we are happy to inform you that We have enhanced our vendor list page, where users can also search vendors as per shipping zone. If you want, you can test the beta version too.

Download the plugin from here – https://github.com/wcmarketplace/dc-woocommerce-multi-vendor/archive/master.zip, follow these steps :
– Delete the installed WC Marketplace via wp-admin >> plugin
– Unzip the GitHub plugin
– Rename the folder as “dc-woocommerce-multi-vendor” and remove the master tag. Now, zip this folder again.
– Install this plugin on your site.
