ParticipantIn my staging site I’m tryin to install the new MultivendorX, but it fails. I get a message “the link is expired”.

ParticipantHi again Mournita. I confimr that now I can see the dashboards, so I don’t know what the problem was.
But I have two questions:
1) the plugin is completely renewd, but is everything kept in the database (also language translations) as it was?
2) Now I have to upgrade WCMP in my production site, so why wasn’ìt it working? Did you do something special in order to make it work, so that I can replicate the procedure? -

Participant…I noticed one major issue: with MultivendorX my user-dashboard page is not showing. With Wcmp it works.

KeymasterCriss, it seems like some other plugin is causing this conflict issue.
Can you please enable one plugin at a time to check which plugin is causing this issue. -

ParticipantThe problem is that WCMP is licenced into my theme as a core feature. So if WCMP works but MultivendorX doesn’t, then it means it’s not a conflict but a “integration” problem, don’t you think?

ParticipantDear Moumita, thank you for asking about the theme, because it hasn’t been updated for quite some time, and for this reason several licenced plugins are falling behind their updated version.

I guess you could contact them using the Envato form, or ask the Envato team to put you in direct contact with them. -

ParticipantDear Mournita, I need your help and clarification.
– after your investigation I could not log into my staging site anymore, so I have recreated it from scratch.
– in the backend I got the message to update from 3.9.2 to 3.9.3. So I updated to see if MultivendorX was going to install correctly, but I think I just got a Wcmp update. As a matter of fact, the MultivendorX banner is still visible.
– Does it mean that I still have Wcmp? Doesn’t MultivendorX overwrite Wcmp, or they follow separate paths?
– If you don’t receive any answer from my theme’s author, what should I do? Stay with Wcmp or install MultivendorX? -

Keymaster@Criss, we haven’t released of MuktiVendorX via WCMp update, hence if you update WCMp, you will get the latest version of WCMp.
The multivendorX is a GitHub plugin link, so if you install MultivendorX, you must deactivate WCMp.

Participant…but isn’t Multivendor a rebrand of Wcmp? It sounds like they are 2 different roads and one must choose which one to take.
If the problem with Multivendor would be that it conflicts with my theme (or, in other words, that the theme is not ready for Multivendor) then I guess I should stay with Wcmp. But are you mantaining (i.e. releasing updates) for Wcmp as well? -

Keymaster@Criss, MultiVendorX is a rebrand of WCMp.
So when we will update WCMp to 4.0, it will automatically update to MultiVendorX. That is why we are requesting everyone to test the beta version first, if you face any theme/flow issues, we can assist you there.
Now if the issue you are facing is related to the theme, please contact them. Inform them that we have changed all our hook/filters, and added a deprecated filter list too :

ParticipantHello again, let me first congratulate with the full rebrand of both plugin and your homepage/forum. I have now succesfully upgraded MVX (in my staging site) with the standard procedure in WP backend.
But let’s try to recap this support thread from reply #141996 and I confirm that my /user-account url still shows a blank page if I’m logged in as a User (it’s ok if logged in as Admin). In your last reply #142653 you mentioned it could be caused by some hooks/filters and I have thus informed my theme’s author. They say that they are in contact with you about it but you previously said that they are not (reply #142397). So what’s the truth? Do you confirm they are exchanging knowledge with you?
I also noticed that some translations aren’t fetched by MVX. What do you suggest for that?Criss

Participant..so they are just lying about adapting MVX into the theme. As we wait for a reply from them, could you tell me about the translations? It seems that frontend translations are fetched but the MVX backend (i.e. the store dashboard) is all in English.

Participant….oh, those Loco instructions sound very difficult and I don’t have a Loco dashboard. I was expecting an easier method, like “download Wcmp po/mo and import them in Mvx”. Don’t you have an alternative method?

Keymaster@Criss, yes you can get the wcmp po file from your backup.
Now, you need to import that po file via the plugin, because this whole translation is managed by plugin like loco or wpml.
