@embpri The modification you are looking for is not supported by default. If you wish to implement such a change in the registration form, you will need to do so by adding custom code on your end.
If you need a reference with a hook/filter please let us know. -
Could you please guide me as to how I can create a new field-type in the Registration Form? I will then custom script it to be conditional; but I would like this field to be a part of the Vendor account’s metadata – just like how Location, PayPal Email, and other fields from the Registration Form are a part of the vendor’s profile.

@embpri Currently we do not have any such hook using which you will be able to add a new field type in the registration form.
But in our future update, we will add a hook using which you will be able to add a new field type on your end. You can keep track of the same from here https://github.com/multivendorx/MultiVendorX/issues/600. -
@embpri Our development team has examined the possibility of incorporating new hook/filter support for introducing a new field type in the vendor registration form. Unfortunately, I must convey that it is not feasible to add a hook/filter for adding new field type in the registration form.
