Hello,
We’re trying to set up commissions for multivendorx pro following the video guide found at: https://multivendorx.com/docs/knowledgebase/types-of-commission/
According to the video we should be able to set our commission value there and more settings
But we get the following message there instead: Kindly activate your preferred payment method in the Module sectionWe had bank transfer activated there, which didnt allow us to set up commissions
Then we activated paypal but that still didn’t allow us to set it up
What can we do to get our commissions settings set up?
Thank you! -

Hello @Sergio Wong Chung In MultiVendorX you can set up different levels of Commission. Such as Vendor Wise commission, product wise commission, category wise commission and global commission.
Now from your query, it seems you are trying to set up the global commission on your end. For that simply follow our knowledgebase doc here https://multivendorx.com/docs/knowledgebase/commission-concept/#global-commission.
And for the setting “Commission Disbursement Method” you need to enable the modules accordingly using which you want your vendors to receive their commission. On the admin end, no additional settings are required, except for activating the payment modules corresponding to this setting. Once the admin has enabled payment modules, the vendor need to add details of the payment mode in which they want to receive their commission from the billing section(http://tinyurl.com/yppbfkls).Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Hello,
I feel like that is exactly what we did but it wont allow us to edit the settings on the commission tabs
For the commission settings we currently see this: https://snipboard.io/v9VSxT.jpg
Which says “Kindly activate your preferred payment method in the Module section”
So then I go to the modules section to see the payment methods and I see this: https://snipboard.io/GQ3uLE.jpg
Direct banktransfer (Overschrijving) and paypal are turned on
However we cannot edit the commission settings
What are we doing wrong?
Thank you -

@Sergio Wong Chung After the field “commission type” there is an option to put the commission value (http://tinyurl.com/yttt7wwj) where the admin needs to put the value accordingly.
Now from your screenshot it is evident that the place to put the commission value is missing on your end. This should not happen. To debug the issue kindly deactivate all the plugins except WooCommerce, MultiVendorX and MultiVendorX Pro on your end and switch to some default theme such as twenty twenty three or storefront and check Whether the field for entering the commission value is visible or not.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply,
I just deactivated all plugins and changed the theme to a default one but that does not seem to solve this issue
Anything else we can try?
Thank you -

It seems that the MultiVendorX plugin file added on your end may be corrupted.
May I deactivate and remove the current plugin file on your end to replace it with a new one and assess the issue? -

Hello,
If you remove and replace the plugin will all our customization we did to it stay or will it all disappear? -

@Sergio Wong Chung Have you made any changes directly to the core plugin file? Typically, it’s advised not to edit the core plugin directly. Instead, customizations should be added in the theme file’s function.php.
If you haven’t edited the core plugin, there shouldn’t be any problem with your added customizations when deleting the plugin file.
Kindly confirm if we can proceed with the deactivation. -

Hello,
We have not made any changes in the core plugin files.
We have styled the dashboard in the custom css section in the settings of your plugin.
Also we have customized all the settings to be how we will need them in the future
Will we need to reconfigure this once its reinstalled?
Please let us know. Just in case we made a backup of the CSS that we made in the custom CSS section
You can proceed with reinstalling it
Thank you -

@Sergio Wong Chung If you have not added any customization in the core plugin then there should not be any issue with the deletion and reinstallation of the plugin. The configured settings and any custom CSS added for the vendor dashboard will remain unaffected.
Still, if you want you can keep a backup of your site and inform us about the same. After that we will proceed with the deletion and the reinstallation of our plugin on your end.

@Sergio Wong Chung You can check your site now. Now the Commission value input field is there(http://tinyurl.com/yk7ldwc8). You can simply put the value there accordingly for configuring the global commission.
If you need any further assistance please let us know.

Hello
Thank you, we can edit commissions now
Since the update vendors have access to the wp-admin dashboard which we have turned off previously
We are now not able to turn this off however because the button is disabled for this setting
We dont want vendors in the wordpress admin dashboard, how can we turn this off?
Thank you -

Hello,
I see that because of the update the pro version was no longer active
I reactivated it and it works now
Thank you! -

Glad to hear that.
However you can also follow the below doc to restrict vendors from accessing the wordpress backend
https://multivendorx.com/docs/code-snippet/restrict-backend-access/. -
