Hello
Is there a plugin or a process that will generate order numbers outside or differently from wp_post id that works with MVX? Or any other method of order numbers?
The reason I ask is that my understanding is that for the UK Inland Revenue HMRC, customer order numbers that aren’t sequential (at least maybe can’t be accounted for) raise questions and potentially increase your risk of an audit.
I understand that in Woocommerce the order number is actually the post_id, which can be incremented in any number of ways meaning that the customer order number isnt’ going to follow in-line, plus add in the MVX sub order number for vendor commission reasons.
I have seen a few plugins which suggest a new order number can be generated somehow but I didn’t know what plugins may be suitable in case there is any interference with MVX code.
Wondered if you could assist?

Unfortunately, we haven’t tested plugins that generate order numbers differently, so we can’t recommend one specifically.
However, you might find suitable plugins by searching. If you encounter any compatibility issues between that plugin and MultiVendorX, you can add custom code to make them compatible.
