We’ve completely reimagined how marketplaces are built. MultiVendorX 5.0 isn’t just an update – it’s a platform upgrade that makes it possible to launch any kind of marketplace with unmatched flexibility, stability, and speed.

Whether you’re building a rental marketplace, subscription marketplace, booking platform, B2B vendor network, auction site, or a niche community marketplace – MultiVendorX 5.0 adapts effortlessly.

      🌟 What’s New in MultiVendorX 5.0?
      🔹 Unified, Adaptive Architecture
Build any type of marketplace without relying on dozens of add-ons. The core adapts to your business model.
      🔹 New Store-Centric System
One owner → multiple store profiles → assistants with role-based access.
      Perfect for complex store structures.
      🔹 Smarter Vendor Dashboard
Modern UI, improved workflows, and faster navigation for stores.
      🔹 Powerful Admin Control Panel
Every setting is now organized with real-world usage in mind – simpler to manage, easier to scale.

Thanks very much. We really like the new interface! It’s also great to see a lot of the wordpress functionality (like emails etc.) are integrated into MVX.

      I have a few questions…

1a. Please explain the difference between Finance >> Commissions >> Marketplace commissions and membership commission rules.
1b. Currently the specific commission set to each of my membership levels donesnt work. It still requires me to manually set the commission amount for every new vendor that has signed up. Has this now been resolved that the membership level commission gets assigned to the vendor.automatically?

      2. As per this forum (https://multivendorx.com/support-forum/topic/multivendorx-emails/#post-235355) all membership applications are automatically approved. Is this still the case? Or are we able to manually approve vendor memberships

      3. When will it be released please? Just letting you know there are still some bugs (e.g. when creating a membership module and typing in the name field, it duplicated into the price field).

      4. What additional features are provided with MultivendorX pro? Because in the demo website you shared I didnt see it activated, yet the memberships module was present.

      Thanks

Also, will the plugin automatically update? We would prefer to remain on V4 for a little bit until the launch bugs are worked through 🙂

      Hello there,

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. We’re really glad to hear your thoughts, and we’d like to let you know that our team is actively working on the revamped version of MultiVendorX.

Please find our responses to your queries inlined below:

1a. Please explain the difference between Finance >> Commissions >> Marketplace commissions and membership commission rules.

      >> In the revamped version, the Finance → Commissions section will allow you (as the admin) to define global commission rules for all stores across your marketplace. This will make commission management more streamlined and easier to control from a single place.

Membership commissions are commission rules defined per membership plan and are automatically applied to stores that are registered under the corresponding membership plan.

1b. Currently the specific commission set to each of my membership levels doesn’t work. It still requires me to manually set the commission amount for every new vendor that has signed up. Has this now been resolved that the membership level commission gets assigned to the vendor automatically?

      >> Our team is still actively working on the revamp, and we are reviewing this behavior as part of the improvements. Ensuring that membership-level commissions are applied automatically to vendors is something we are looking into, and we’ll address and refine this as part of the ongoing development.

      2. As per this forum (https://multivendorx.com/support-forum/topic/multivendorx-emails/#post-235355
) all membership applications are automatically approved. Is this still the case? Or are we able to manually approve vendor memberships?

      >> As per the current flow, when vendors register using Stripe Marketplace or PayPal Marketplace, the stores are created in an approved state by default. At the moment, this automatic approval remains the expected behavior for these payment methods.

      3. When will it be released please? Just letting you know there are still some bugs (e.g. when creating a membership module and typing in the name field, it duplicated into the price field).

      >> Since the revamp is still in active development, it’s a bit difficult to share an exact release date at this stage. That said, we’ll be sure to keep you updated at every major milestone.
Thank you for highlighting the bug—our team is continuously working on development and testing, and we’ll make sure such issues are reviewed and addressed as part of the refinement process.

      4. What additional features are provided with MultiVendorX Pro? Because in the demo website you shared I didn’t see it activated, yet the memberships module was present.

      >> We’re introducing several new and enhanced features in the Free and Pro version, such as Wallet, Facilitator, Franchise, Geo location, Store privacy, Compliance management and more. We’ll be sharing detailed guides and step-by-step tutorials for each feature.
Currently, the beta demo includes only the free version, which is why the Pro modules (such as Memberships) are not fully accessible. However, we’ll be sharing a Pro-enabled beta demo shortly and will keep you informed.

Regarding the updates, to avoid any unexpected changes, you may disable auto-renewal on your end so the plugins are not updated automatically. Once the revamped version is released, we recommend first testing the update on a staging site. After confirming everything works as expected, you can then proceed with updating the live site.

If you have any further questions or need clarification on anything, please feel free to reach out – we’ll be happy to assist.

      Hi there,
I am right now developing a platform based on MVX latest release and as Iam modifying some parts of the vendor dashboard and forms, I am wondering if it would still be compatible with a major update. Could you kindly share a dev version of 5.0 to check?

    • #251463

      Hi Philipp,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concern. It’s completely understandable, especially since you’re actively customizing the vendor dashboard and forms.

Regarding the changes to hooks and filters, we’ll be sharing detailed developer documentation that maps the updated hooks and filters to their existing counterparts. This should help you transition your customizations smoothly.

As for the development version of MultiVendorX 5.0, there is still some work pending from our end. However, we’re hopeful that we’ll be able to share it with you by next week. This will allow you to test your custom work on a staging environment well ahead of the official release. In the meantime, you can review the overall structure of MultiVendorX 5.0 here:
      https://github.com/multivendorx/multivendorx.

If you need any further assistance or have specific questions in the meantime, please feel free to reach out. We’ll be happy to help.
