On my marketplace shops can sign up and join and there is a 10% commission taken on every sale. I want to add an option for service providers to sell their services on my platform as well through a monthly subscription. Can I do this without changing the regular shops sign up process, as I do not want the shops to have to add a credit card number, only the service providers? Thanks

    • #237102

Hello Nathan, Thank you for reaching out!

If I’ve understood correctly, you’re looking to create subscription packages for service providers. With the MultiVendorX Pro Marketplace Membership module, you can easily achieve this. You can simply create new membership packages for the registration of service providers.

With this you will be able to design custom membership plans tailored to specific service types, such as bookings or appointments, while assigning unique capabilities to each plan. Service providers can then subscribe to these plans, register as vendors on your marketplace, and list their services directly through the vendor dashboard. Also these new plans will not make any changes to the users who are already registered with the other plans on your site.

For detailed guidance, please refer to our documentation here: https://multivendorx.com/docs/knowledgebase/marketplace-memberhsip/.

Let me know if you have further questions or need assistance setting this up!

Thank you for your prompt reply, originally I had subscription packages setup, but I took it down because even the free plan made the user sign up with a credit card. Now when they sign up without a subscription they dont need to imput a credit card. Any way for me to leave the sign up like this but have those who sign up for the subscription package need to give credit card info?

    • #237137

@Nathan Wolhendler, Thank you for sharing the details.

It appears that you have set up free recurring plans for your vendors. In this setup, the system requires credit card information to avoid potential issues during the next renewal cycle.

If you’d like to offer free plans without collecting payment details, you can create free non-recurring plans for vendor subscriptions
(https://tinyurl.com/24q6p2wd). This way, vendors won’t be prompted to enter payment information during registration. You can refer to this guide for assistance: https://multivendorx.com/docs/knowledgebase/marketplace-memberhsip/.

Should you need further assistance, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help!

Is there a way to offer one plan with recurring charges and one plan that is free (and no credit card is needed)?

    • #237169

Hi @Nathan Wolhendler, Thank you for getting back to us.

You can certainly create different plans—recurring or non-recurring—tailored to your specific needs.

      — For paid plans, you can set them as recurring. This will prompt users to provide their payment details during registration for those plans.
      — For free plans, where no payment details are required, you can set them as non-recurring.

If you have any further questions, feel free to let us know.

Thank you, I did this, but for some reason they are not showing up on the site, When I click the button it brings me straight to registration. Am I doing something wrong?

    • #237262

@Nathan Wolhendler, For non-recurring plans, the flow is as follows: after selecting a plan and clicking the “Subscribe” button, the user will be redirected to the registration form. Upon completing the form, they will be taken to the checkout page to complete the order.

Please refer to this video for a detailed walkthrough: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/34000432?key=18ce6fbc63d4f781f2a1b8058bc38d2c.

Thanks, any way to do this without having to go to the cart page? Its not the best UX, and it is effecting our sign ups

    • #237336

Can you please let us know how are you getting the cart page?

Sorry I meant checkout, but right now it is free to sell on my shop and they just register and get directed to the setup wizard, no checkout is needed. Is there a way to keep this plus add a subscription?

    • #237362

Nathan, although I haven’t tested these codes, but this code reference might work for you – https://stackoverflow.com/questions/39960911/woocommerce-skip-checkout-for-free-products

Thank you for your help so far, what I needed is working.
I was wondering if there is a way for me to get a direct link to each subscription package instead of just the one link to the package page that lists all packages?

    • #237648

Hi Nathan Wolhendler, Thank you for getting back to us!

The membership plans function as regular WooCommerce products. Each plan can be accessed directly from its respective single product page. For instance, you can check out demo membership plans here:

      https://multivendordemo.com/mvx/product/gold-plan/
      https://multivendordemo.com/mvx/product/silver-plan-recurring/

Additionally, these plans are listed on the membership plan page for easy access: https://multivendordemo.com/mvx/vendor-membership/.

If you need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

    • #237662

Hi @Nathan Wolhendler, Please ensure that the subscription package you’re checking has been created using the Marketplace Membership module of MultiVendorX Pro.

Also on our end, the vendor membership plan subscription flow is working as expected. You can refer to this video for a detailed demonstration: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/34523534?key=91ecfd3f62470b89963956399de6d338.

Now if you are encountering any issues with the shared flow on your setup, kindly create a staging site (a replica of your live site) and provide us with the staging site URL, along with temporary admin and FTP access. This will allow us to investigate the issue and assist you further. Also while sharing the access don’t forget to mark your reply as private.

Hello Therew, We have deactivated all plugins except WooCommerce, MultiVendorX, and MultiVendorX Pro on your site, and the “Join Now” button is now displaying correctly. You can view the screenshot here: https://prnt.sc/Tn_jGITVqhLx.You can also check the plan from here https://staging3.buizmo.com/product/advertiser-subscription/.

It appears that one of the previously active plugins was causing the issue. We recommend reactivating the deactivated plugins one by one to identify which plugin is conflicting with the “Join Now” button.

Please keep us updated on your findings, and let us know if you need further assistance.

    • #237892

Hi @Nathan Wolhendler, Thank you for getting back to us and sharing the details. Currently, the membership plan page buttons are not compatible with Elementor, which is why you’re encountering this issue.

However, there’s no need to worry! I’ve informed our development team about this, and we plan to include support shortcodes for the “Subscribe Now” button in Elementor in a future update. Once implemented, this issue will no longer occur.

We appreciate your understanding and patience!

Hello, Thank you for getting back to us.

As mentioned earlier, our development team is working on implementing shortcode support for buttons. Once the implementation is complete, we will notify you accordingly.

Additionally, to proceed, we will require the following FTP details:

      Host
      Username
      Password
      Port

For customizing the registration form fields, please navigate to your admin dashboard:
MultiVendorX >> Settings >> Registration Form
From there, you can modify the fields as needed. You can refer to the doc here https://multivendorx.com/docs/knowledgebase/vendors-registration/ for assistance.

Feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance.

Thank you for providing the FTP access.

Regarding your query about having different registration form fields for different plans, this functionality is not supported in the default flow. The form fields will remain the same for all plans. If you wish to modify this behavior and implement a customized solution, you will need to add your own custom code to achieve it.

I don’t understand where these buttons (shortcode) should be added, to the product template?

    • #238817

@Nathan Wolhendler, You can add the shortcodes for the buttons directly to the membership plan page while styling it with Elementor. Also we have shared the access for the plugin file with you. So you can download the modified plugin on your end and check the same on your end.

The reason I needed this was to add a button directly to each subscription package and not use the membership page…can this be done?

    • #238852

@Nathan Wolhendler, As you mentioned that the buttons were not appearing on the single product page while designing with Elementor, we have added support for buttons using shortcodes. Once you insert the shortcodes on the single product page (https://tinyurl.com/282bn2ex), the buttons should display correctly (https://tinyurl.com/2yukvxzo).

Please ensure you add the shortcodes and pass the plan IDs accordingly. Kindly check on your end and let us know if you need any further assistance.

    • #238882
      Nathan Wolhendler

I added this to the single product template but now they are showing in every product not just in this one subscription item?

    • #238883

@Nathan Wolhendler, Yes, once you add the shortcodes to a single product page template, the buttons will appear on all product pages.

May I ask why you are designing the plan pages using the single product page template? On our end, we tested the membership plan pages with both Elementor and Elementor Pro activated, and the buttons appeared without any issues, even without adding the shortcodes.Kindly check the video here https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/36098184?key=5de1b81d7bea85d0c784f0e11be0cd20.

So I am not able to understand your idea of designing the membership plan pages with elementor.

“Thank you for your help so far, what I needed is working.
I was wondering if there is a way for me to get a direct link to each subscription package instead of just the one link to the package page that lists all packages?”

The problem we were trying to solve is that when I come onto the single product page via the direct link to that subscription packe]age there was no way for me to get to the registration form

    • #238949

@Nathan Wolhendler, Thank you for getting back to us.

As mentioned earlier, our plugin follows a default flow where in the Membership plans page you get a “More details” button for each plan and clicking on that you can go to the single product page for that membership plan. The “Subscribe Now” buttons appear accordingly on that page, and upon clicking, users are redirected to the vendor registration form. You can review the flow in this video: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/36171960?key=869b0e750674872e4be9d7f7fc348393.

Could you please let us know what happens on your end when you click the “Subscribe Now” button? Additionally, if possible, please share access to your staging site so we can check the issue directly and assist you further.

      Looking forward to your response.

Yes, and I had asked if I can have a direct link to each of the plans so I can put up seperate buttons on my menu instead of sending them to a membership page and then to the registration form. You responded I can send them to the product directly which was a great solution except that I did not have a subscribe now button because the product was customised with elementor pro. We went back and forth and to my understanding you were working on implementing a fix for that. I need the subscribe now button to bring me to the registration form on the product page. You still have access to the staging area

    • #238967
