Hi, we have a vendor with hundreds of products and so need good filtering & search in the dashboard product manager.
Currently it seems like the search doesn’t include sku field and only searches by product name – how can sku field also be searched?
Also, how is it possible to only show categories in the category selector that has products from that vendor? It makes it slow to find the right category when there are dozens of empty categories displayed in the dropdown.

Hello Kurt,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
By default flow, the search option works with product name only. Now if you want to search by SKU number then you have to do custom coding and add it at your end.
Kindly let us know if you need any help with the hooks and filter, then our team will guide you accordingly. -

ok, but surely it should at least do the basics:
1. In every other searchbox in WordPress you can type and press enter. But that doesn’t work for vendors searching for products they have to click the search button with their mouse. This slows down product admin.
2. Search in the sku field – this is just a basic requirement of every single product based business in the world. Surely it should be core functionality?
Yes I could probably add these features myself in a few hours – but surely all your customers need this?

Hello,
Our answers are inline
1. In every other searchbox in WordPress you can type and press enter. But that doesn’t work for vendors searching for products they have to click the search button with their mouse. This slows down product admin.
>> The enter button is working at our end as you can see here (https://www.loom.com/share/f6d94f2cb68746ba8ef1f7dc5f984183)
Now as this is not working on your end, can you share your page link so we can check.2. Search in the sku field – this is just a basic requirement of every single product based business in the world. Surely it should be core functionality?
>> please do explain where do you want to add this option, an screenshot will be very much appreciated.
Kindly let us know if you need any further assistance. -
