Hi WCMP team,
The main product image appears blurry on the vendor’s front end on Retina screens when editing their products. It appears it’s because it’s displaying some type of smaller medium thumbnail version of the image, which causes it to be blurry in the space. Would you be able to change it to use the Large thumbnail version of the image so vendor’s don’t think their images are going to display blurry? Much appreciated! Will follow up with a couple images.

Here’s one with it in the vendor front end manager, and another of the live product page.

Hi, thank you for getting in touch with us.
We tried to recreate this on our end but didn’t face any such issues.
The thumbnail shown on vendor’s frontend while editing the product is small but not blurry because it is the preview version of the image. However vendor’s can see the original product image on their shop page once they have published the product. -

Thanks for looking into it. However, I have Woocommerce thumbnails set to be 600 wide, but the Front End Manager is displaying a 300×300 version. The plugin must be creating it’s own thumbnail size and using that instead? If so, how do we adjust that size?

Hi,
Kindly note that you have send the Shop page image..
However we do not support this for vendor edit product page. -

Yes, I shared that so you could see the code of the image that’s being displayed on the Front End manager in their shop. It’s not displaying the WooCommerce thumbnail sized image, it’s showing another sized image of some kind that’s being generated somewhere (300×300). That’s why the image shows up a little blurry in the vendor’s shop product page but when they look at it on the actual website, it’s fine.
If you’re developers take a look at edit-product.php, line 88, it looks like it’s pulling in the “Medium” sized image. That’s why it’s showing blurry there on Retina displays. Changing that to “Large” fixes the issue.
I fixed it through a template override. Not sure if you want to add it to the plugin or not, but I’m sure users would appreciate seeing clear images when using retina displays. You can close this ticket, thank you!
