Hi, we would like to have a cost of goods field for vendors to be able to record the cost price of their products.
I see there are a few plugins available for this “Woocommerce cost of goods” as well as “YITH COST OF GOODS FOR WOOCOMMERCE” – do either of these work with wc-marketplace?
Both have lots of other features and we are really just interested in have a cost price field so if there is a simple way to add this without using another plugin that would also work.

Hi, yes – please do the following.
Google search “Woocommerce cost of goods plugin” and then go see what the plugin does.
It seems I can’t paste urls or image links in this message box otherwise it doesn’t send.
Although the plugin does a lot of other things, all we really want is to have in products, general tab, a “cost price” field under the price and sale price fields.

Hi, please see this image.
You’ll see that this extension does a lot of other things, but the main thing we need is just a field to store the cost of the product.

Hi please see the image on this link:
This is from this plugin which has a lot of extra features, but it would be sufficient just to add another field to record the cost price of the product so that profit can be calculated.

Hello,
You can set the cost of product from admin dashboard >> product >> as you can see here (https://prnt.sc/zy4oul).
From the vendor dashboard you can also set the price of the product as you can see here (https://prnt.sc/zy4uny).
You can also refer to our demo links. You can access the vendor end from here
http://wcmpdemos.com/all-in-one-demo/my-account/
and you can access the admin end from here
http://wcmpdemos.com/all-in-one-demo/wp-adminIf you found any additional features in our demo, kindly consider those are coming from some addon (https://multivendorx.com/addons/) of us.
Regarding the other part, we have not tested the compatibility of this plugin with WCMp so we will not be able to comment anything on it. However you can test it at your end and let us know if you face any issue.

Hello
That first screenshot you sent me above doesn’t have a cost of goods field, only price. Do you understand these are two different things?
Cost of the goods is what the vendor paid for the product from their suppliers
Product price is what the vendor is selling the product for.Product price minus cost of goods = profit.

At present we have only the price of the product and sale price as shared in my previous message. Now if you want to add a new field for cost of goods then you have to do custom coding at your end.
Regarding https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-cost-of-goods/, we have not tested the compatibility of this plugin with WCMp so we will not be able to comment anything on it. If you face any issue with this (https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-cost-of-goods/) plugin then you have to do custom coding to make it compatible with WCMp at your end.
