Hi, there. The private content wasn’t visible to me as I’m not the one that started the thread. Can you please proceed at here? Thanks

Chris, I just used the Twenty Sixteen theme, as you can see our flow is working fine: https://prnt.sc/HjMDMhU4Xyuy

You might have some custom code for the storefront and your present theme.
      Please check.

Also, customer support is shown at the end of the order confirmation page https://tinyurl.com/2596zlon

Hmm, I can see that Twenty Sixteen theme is showing that, but it shouldn’t be due to the custom code as storefront is the original storefront from wp without any custom code. Also, I didn’t enable any custom code in my staging site. And I also don’t have any, not even a dot of custom code for storefront theme.

Anyway, can we like just use the woocommerce_review_order_before_cart_contents & woocommerce_before_cart_contents to solve this? I just need the vendor_name to show on top of each product at cart & checkout page so that customer know who are they buying from. I’m okay without the “sold by” below the product name.

@Chris There should not be any such issue with storefront theme if you have not added any custom code there . We checked the flow on our end with the storefront theme and it is working absolutely fine https://watch.screencastify.com/v/9W3ZQSPbJmgN9YcHuStU .
Kindly check again by deactivating all the plugins except WooCommerce and MultiVendorX on your end .
      Please keep us posted .

I checked again on my staging site just now without touching anything and surprisingly found that the Heading Text (Products sold by XXX) was already showing. Now the storefront theme is working, as well as all other themes, including my own child theme. I activated all plugins one by one to check and see is there any plugin-conflict and surprisingly there seems no any conflict. Previously, all themes wasn’t showing the text except Twenty-twenty two (you guys told me and I’ve checked on it) until today and I didn’t touch my staging site since the day I requested for help. Did your team just fixed it on my staging site or? My live site is still having the issue.

    • #193574

@Chris We have not added any fix on your staging site. There should not be any issue with the flow if no custom code is added. That is why the flow is working fine.
Kindly check on your live site if there is any custom code added in the theme. Also check by deactivating all the plugins except WooCommerce and MultiVendorX. There should not be any such issue.
Also check if the issue is caused by your website cache or not.
      Please do keep us posted.

Hi, I think there might be something wrong with the codes or some conflict with the themes. I’ve checked on my staging site again with only WooCommerce and MultivendorX and MultivendorX Pro plugins enabled. My findings were as below:
      1) The “Products Sold by XXX” text, hereinafter referred to collectively as “Heading Text”, was showing since my last reply, but once again, it is not showing now. ( I did not touch anything, I just close the site and re-openening it after a few hours ) After some trials and errors, the Heading Text is not showing for all themes except Twenty-twenty Two. However, it will be showing in all other themes if the condition below is fulfilled.
Condition: If Twenty-twenty Two theme is activated and used first prior to the switching to any other themes, then the Heading Text will be shown. Even with the Storefront theme, the Heading Text is not shown unless you activated Twenty-twenty Two theme first, and then switch to Storefront theme by activating it. ( I never edited the storefront theme as I never use that theme, so I believe its original storefront theme without any custom code. )
      2) After the Heading Text is shown by fulfilling the condition above, even after activating all plugins, the Heading Text and Sold by Text are still there. So, most probably code or theme conflicts?
      3) Next, if the “Display Product Seller” option is disabled, the “Sold by” text is disabled but the Heading Text is still showing in all themes until I switch the current active theme to another theme.

I’ll record a video showing these findings and attach it privately in the next reply.

The third findings is actually good as a solution for those who only wanted to show the Heading text, like me, as the “Sold by” text somehow distorted the Shop page and Shop Archive page’s add to cart button. If you have solutions to only show the Heading Text, please teach me as I’ve wasted too many times for this issue.

A new finding here, which is related to what is happening to my live site was found when I was trying to record a video to show that even all plugins were activated, the Heading Text is still working fine, so supposedly it is not a plugin’s conflict. The finding is:
      1) When “Display Product Seller” option is enabled, with the current active theme as Twenty-twenty Two, the Heading Text is not showing. Please check on the condition to reproduce this issue. This is the same also for Storefront theme and other themes as well. Plus, this is also exactly what is happening on my live site.
      2) See the attached video in the next private reply for a better understanding of my explanation.

@Chris, the flow is working fine on our end.

Kindly do create a staging site and share the temporary admin, ftp access.
Please note, we might need to disable the plugin/theme for testing purposes.

      Thanks for the access.
We have checked your staging site and the Display Product Seller option is working fine for all the themes on your end. Kindly check the video https://watch.screencastify.com/v/qcBb1aOCwNfRw5MgeJnm.
This means the issue is not replicated in the shared staging site. So kindly create a new staging site where the issue of your live site is replicated properly.

@Chris The setting Display product seller works fine on this staging site of yours as well. Kindly check the video https://watch.screencastify.com/v/5Lrz6v7juIGwJB8GJE6O.
As we are not able to recreate the issue in any of your staging site so it is not possible for us to give you the solution.
Please replicate the issue properly on your staging first and also check carefully on your live site if there is any custom code added. As there should not be any issue with the setting.

Well, I just created the new staging site today, which is a fresh copy of my live site and this is weird enough man. And once again, no custom code related to this. Quadruple check before I requesting thread Please tell me on the flow of how you enabled this in details………………………………………………….but not always tellig me that you are not able to recreate this issue on your end. So, I sent you the videos showing on how to recreate the issue and seems like it was a waste of time where all I wanted is to solve the problem only. Didn’t you take note on the point that if it is all alright, then why the Heading Text is still there when the Display Product Seller option is enabled and all plugins deactivated?

Now, once again, I’ve set the staging site with storefront theme, and the Display Product Seller option is enabled, and the cart is not showing the heading text, https://prnt.sc/LJKd6g3uXCsh

You may login and check on it.

No custom code for storefront, I never use it. And I don’t use it at all. There’s no need for me to waste time modifying it. I believe there is some conflict as :
–> 3) Next, if the “Display Product Seller” option is disabled, the “Sold by” text is disabled but the Heading Text is still showing in all themes.

    • #193717

We are really sorry. But we can not give you a solution unless we are able to recreate the issue ourselves.

May be there was some corrupted files in the storefront theme that was activated on your staging site. I deleted that theme and installed a new file of Storefront theme and the setting is working fine.

Even I have checked by activating the Unihome child theme on your staging and here also the setting is working perfectly fine https://prnt.sc/mG4eyBmqZIOM.

On your live site can you please delete the current active theme first and then install and activate the theme again and check.

I tried deleted the theme and reinstalled again. It’s still not working… I also tried for other default themes, it were the same as well. This is too weird. I’m tired of this 🙁
      Also, did you found this?
      3) Next, if the “Display Product Seller” option is disabled, the “Sold by” text is disabled but the Heading Text is still showing in all themes.

    • #193811

@Chris As shared earlier there is no such issue on our end and also we have checked on your end and the settings works sometimes and sometimes it does not work.
Kindly check the video https://watch.screencastify.com/v/iyvhWxVveIFOTg6LnCKk .
We are sure that the issue is not caused by MultiVendorX or MultiVendorX Pro. It is probably coming from the cache file of your site.
So kindly contact your server admin and tell them to clear the cache file of your site and then check if the issue still persists or not.
      Do keep us posted.
