On the latest version, it appears that if you check this option: “Approval Needs to Publish Re-edited Product”, it actually does the opposite. If you click Draft or Submit, it publishes the product live without requiring approval.

Also, it could be possible it’s not a glitch and that’s the intended flow. If so, the wording doesn’t make sense for the specific flow. It really should say something like:

“If checked, re-edited products (that were previously published) by vendors will be directly published without admin approval required.”

If that’s the intended flow, the DRAFT button does make the product publish live as well, so that would need to be fixed as Drafting the product shouldn’t produce a live publish.

Thanks for taking a look! For me, I just won’t check the box for now as it works the way I need without it, but the current wording made me think I needed to use it after I updated.

Yes you are right that if “Approval needs to publish re-edited products” is enabled (see screenshot- https://prnt.sc/21kazgs )then that product will get published, without going for approval after the vendor edits that product.
However we will change the text of that option in our next update.
