      Hi,

I found this support request from a year ago dealing with a similar issue > https://multivendorx.com/support-forum/topic/hide-product-categories-from-vendor/#post-54590

I can’t seem to find the ‘support of New Category restriction flow.’ mentioned in the topic.
Has this been added to WCMp and how can i find the settings for it?

      Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The category restriction can be applied with the help of WCMp vendor membership addon plugin (https://multivendorx.com/product/wcmp-vendor-membership/) as you can see here (https://prnt.sc/yy71dd). The same has been mentioned in the support forum thread shared by you.

Kindle let us know if you need any further assistance.

      Hi,

      Thank you for your reply.

I really do not need the ‘WCMp vendor membership’ addon plugin for my site and cannot justify purchasing it only to hide a few categories from the Vendor.

This most certainly should have been added to the ‘WCMp Advanced Frontend Manager’ plugin as this is where I control the Vendor abilities.

Surely there is some code I can add to accomplish this?

      Can you assist please.

By default flow, category restriction can only be applied through WCMp vendor membership plugin. Now if you want to introduce this functionality with WCMp advance frontend manager plugin then you have to do some good amount of custom coding at your end.

Kindly let us know if you need any help with hooks and filter then our team will help you accordingly.

      Hi Ninja,

      Thank you for your reply.

I find this highly irregular. I am able to hide categories in WooCommerce with CSS but not with WCMp. Please; – there has to be another way to make this possible for your users. Why can I not use CSS?

      Hi,
You can remove categories from this page. Please use below filter.

      wcmp_vendor_product_classify_1_level_categories
      Copy

      Regards,

      Hi,

Thank you for this. I am now able to exclude categories from the ‘Add Product section’.

It would be great if this could be a built in feature for WCMp Core.

      All the best.
      Kind regards,

@Dale, generally admin don’t like to hide the categories, however, some admin of the site might feel the need to hide the categories and that is why we provide the filters so they can tweak this as per their need.

We will see, whether our users do want this option, so we can add this in our plugin via settings as well.

      Hi Moumita,

Sure I understand. If however WCMp hopefully becomes Elementor friendly; – this feature should be added to core.

You can close this ticket. Thank you very much.

      Kind regards,

@DragNfLy, we are happy to inform you that we have added support for elementor, however, we are still testing this on our end.
If you want you can test this too in your staging site.

Download the plugin from here – https://github.com/cool-raju/dc-woocommerce-multi-vendor/archive/fix_elementor_tab/1.zip, follow these steps :
      – Delete the installed WC Marketplace via wp-admin >> plugin
      – Unzip the GitHub plugin
      – Rename the folder as “dc-woocommerce-multi-vendor” and remove the master tag. Now, zip this folder again.
      – Install this plugin on your site.
      Please do keep us posted.

      Hi Moumita,

This is most fantastic news. I surely hope this will include templates for the Vendor Shopfront page which is impossible to edit without any coding knowledge and is such an important user experience feature for new vendors.

Are any Elementor templates included in the new version as yet?

      Kind regards,

    • #117865

@DragNfLy, we have added one template, which is our own structure. However apart from that, if you need any further modification you have to do that by using elementor.
