Hi,
I recently purchased this Stripe add-on. But to my surprise this only uses the Credit Card payment method. In my country Credit Card payments are not the number 1 payment method. I need to use the iDeal payment method. Stripe does provide this payment method, but only on their website.
Could you tell me if it is possible to add a payment button to our website that makes the customer go to the Stripe website and finalise their payment there so they can choose extra payment methods?
Thx

Hi, thank you for your query.
Currently Stripe only supports Credit Card Payment.
However we have sent this to our developer for ideal payment support.
Hopefully we will give the update within 1-2 weeks. -

What about Stripe Checkout? A simple button needs to be added to complete the order on Stripe itself: https://stripe.com/nl/payments/checkout

@René Mirck, I checked the link, but can you please explain why do you need a complete button.
As per a multivendor site flow, when the customer will complete the payment, the order will be placed. At the same time, the admin and vendor will receive the money in their own stripe account.
So, can you please share some scrrenshot to explain the issue? -

I’m not sure how everything is integrated, but I was thinking of the same button Paypal uses on the checkout area:

Maybe Stripe has something similar?

@René Mirck, stripe doesn’t add such button yet.
So, once the user will provide the payment details and click on “Pay Now” the transaction takes place.

@René Mirck, we are half way in 🙂
But due to urgent work with wcmp 4.0, the team needs to resume their work on WCMp.
But they should start working on the rest of the ideal payment soon. -

@René Mirck, I had an update from the team, due to urgent update regarding memberhsip, and wcmp we were busy with that.
They will start again from this Monday, so we are quite positive by next week we can give you the plugin (if everything goes according to our plan). -

Hello,
Yes, it is definitely possible to add a payment button to your website that redirects customers to the Stripe website to complete their payment using additional payment methods like iDeal. This can be done by using Stripe’s Checkout feature or the Payment Intents API.Stripe Checkout provides a pre-built payment page that you can use to collect payment details and process payments securely. It also supports multiple payment methods, including iDeal. You can customize the appearance of the checkout page to match your branding, and it handles all the necessary payment processing and security. You can then redirect the customer back to your website after the payment is completed.
To use Stripe Checkout, you can follow the steps outlined in their documentation here: https://stripe.com/docs/payments/checkout
Alternatively, if you prefer more control over the payment process, you can use Stripe’s Payment Intents API to build a custom payment flow on your website. This involves creating a payment intent, collecting payment details, and confirming the payment using the Stripe API. You can also handle additional payment methods like iDeal using this method.
To use the Payment Intents API, you can follow the steps outlined in their documentation here: https://stripe.com/docs/payments/payment-intents https://www.nexus-iceland.com/
I hope this helps! If you have any further questions, please let me know.
