No other vendor appears as an option to select when there is already a supplier assigned to this product.

This happens because of the line dc-woocommerce-multi-vendor/classes/class-mvx-product.php:755
      Function: output_vendor_tab

1- Assign a supplier to the product
2- Reload the page and try to select another supplier.
3- There are no vendors available to select.

@webmaster.mid You as an admin can assign a product to a particular vendor only. That is why when a vendor is assigned no other vendor is displayed as an option. Now if you want to assign a new vendor then simply unassign the current assigned vendor and then assign a new vendor.
Note:You can not assign a particular product to multiple vendors.

I understand… but wouldn’t the process of changing the product vendor (as an admin) through <select> be the same as unnasigning and assigning a new vendor?

        Isn’t it easier to handle?

    • #196877

@webmaster.mid As I have shared with you earlier, according to the default flow the admin can search for vendors and assign only one vendor to a particular product. Now to assign a new vendor for that particular product the admin needs to unassign the earlier assigned vendor. Assigning a product to multiple vendors is not supported.
Now if you want to modify this or want to add customization then you will have to add custom code on your end.

Hi Sangita, I don’t want to assign a product to multiple vendors. What I mean is that to “replace” the currently assigned vendor, I need to click the “Unassign” button, the page reloads and only then I can assign a new vendor. If I were making a modification to the product, I would need to stop to wait for this reassignment.

When a vendor is assigned, all the others vendors are hidden from <select>. Why not simply be able to change the selected option in “vendor selection”, instead of going through this flow, without having to click the unassign button? Is it not possible due to some permission issue?

@webmaster.mid The workflow of assigning a vendor to a product from admin dashboard allows the admin to make changes to the product and vendor selection without committing to a specific vendor until they’re ready to finalize the assignment by clicking the “update” button. Please check the video https://watch.screencastify.com/v/PX6FMNE5jUAeiLFYTZTl.
Not to worry, about the modification you are looking for I have informed our dev team and they will see whether we can improve this.
