      Hi there,

I noticed there are some users using MVX and BuddyBoss plugin together. And looks like there are some conflicts posted as well. https://multivendorx.com/support-forum/topic/vendor-dashboard-is-not-viewing-properly/

When BuddyBoss Platform is activated, MVX dashboard is basically just spinning non-stop. Please help in fixing this forever spinning problem. I can see that there’s quite a few post even on 2021. And the latest is Aug 2023, but I’ve been facing this since my first subscription of your plugin……

      Hello Chris,
Sorry to hear that you are facing issues on your end. But we have not tested the mentioned BuddyBoss plugin with MultiVendorX and hence can not assure you about the compatibility.

Now after learning about your issue it seems like both the plugins are not compatible.

So for this you can reach out to the plugin’s team and let them know about the conflict issue and ask them to make their plugin compatible with MultiVendorX. In the process if they need any assistance from our end, kindly ask them to get in touch with us and we will help them accordingly in this regard.

Alternatively, you can review the site to check for any errors generated by our plugin. Providing temporary admin, FTP, and vendor access to your staging site would be helpful for us to investigate and identify any potential issues originating from our plugin.

While sharing the access, don’t forget to mark the response as private.

@Chris Thanks for sharing the access with us.

Our team is looking into this issue. Kindly provide us some time to debug this on your end.

Hello @Chris, Upon further investigation of the conflict issue, we observed that the loading problem in MultiVendorX occurs only when the Private RestAPI setting (http://tinyurl.com/yqahvhn5) in Buddyboss is activated. When this setting is unchecked, there are no loading issues with the MultivendorX submenus.

If the Rest API restriction setting is enabled in Buddyboss plugin it is blocking the Rest API call in other plugins, including ours. For our plugin all the pages get loaded by the Rest API call that is why you are facing this issue on your end. So kindly reach out to the Buddyboss plugin team regarding this issue.

You can also go through this doc https://www.dashed-slug.net/forums/topic/internal-transfer-confirmation-error/ because other plugins who load their pages with Rest API call also face the same issue on their end with Buddyboss.

Okay understood. Thanks for the investigation and explanation. I’ll unchecked that setting (maybe it’s checked by default) and reach out to them about this issue. Usually public contents are accessible but those private content, password-protected content, internal users, custom post types, and metadata are only accessible with authentication by default, so it should be safe if the Rest API is not set to be private right?

@Chris , I can understand that it might be an important setting for any site.
I would request you to contact the Buddyboss plugin team for assistance so that even after keeping their private rest API setting checked our Rest API calls do not get restricted.
