      Hello, not sure if this has been asked before so I apologize. What happens if a seller gets an order in before they setup their stripe connect account? I only use this payment method and no others.

      Does the money sit on hold until they sign up for the stripe connect and then is auto transferred to their account after creation?

      Is there a way to make it mandatory to setup payment before they can add any products?

      @Andy Conner, WCMp stripe has three charges type i.e.
      Direct Charges
      Destination Charges
      Separate Charges and Transfers

      For, Destination Charges and Separate Charges and Transfers, if a vendor doesn’t connect their stripe account, then WCMp will pay them as per the WCMp Schedule i.e.
      Weekly
      Daily
      Monthly
      Fortnightly
      Hourly

      However, if you will use “Direct Charge”, then the vendor must add their stripe details, otherwise, the customer can’t purchase from that vendor.

      Thank you so much for clarifying. Is there documentation describing the pros and cons of each type?

      I currently have it set at Separate but I honestly don’t know much about it. Will a vendor get paid right away if they are connected and I have it setup as separate? Can you explain each if you don’t mind? Sorry, I don’t see much info about each one

      If you are using WCMp Stripe Marketplace, then the vendor will get money instantly for all types of charges.

      @andy-conner if you’re using Stripe Marketplace but a vendor hasn’t connected Stripe yet, they won’t be able to take orders until they have connected.

      Customers see this message if they add their products to their baskets, then view the basket:
      “You have products belonging to more than one vendor in your cart who might be facing some technical issues. Contact the admin for more details.”

      We changed this to be a bit more friendly, and will hopefully also be adding the product and vendor name to this message, because if you have several items from different vendors in your basket, you have to remove them one by one to find out who hasn’t connected Stripe yet!

      “There are products in your basket that belong to a shop that hasn’t connected a payment method to their account. Please contact the shop to inform them and ask about alternative payment methods.”

      Thanks for the replies guys!

      I am having my developer go through and add a function that disables the “Add Product” form if no payment method is set for vendor. A message will then appear directing the seller to the payment method page before continuing.

      I think this is a simple solution and would help alleviate this problem altogether. This is a very dangerous thing to have not mandatory for a marketplace, you always want to force the seller to setup payment first before doing anything.

      Just a thought!

      @andy-conner We are just a customer, same as you!

      We were thinking of a similar solution, but we do allow affiliate products on our subscription-based marketplace, so if a vendor only has affiliate products (that link to their own site) then they don’t need a Stripe account, and some prefer that this is one less registration needed!
