Hi, I have a shipping method set in woocommerce that charges a flat rate, no matter how many products or vendors are included in the cart. I would like to keep this flat rate, but also allow vendors to add their own shipping methods for their products with different rates.

For example, my current shipping method charges £3.00 delivery for as many products as you like from vendor 1 and vendor 2. However, vendor 3 wants their own shipping method. So I still want to charge £3.00 for delivery of products from vendor 1 & vendor 2, but if a customer orders a product from vendor 1, vendor 2 and vendor 3, then they need to pay £3.00 + vendor 3 shipping charge.

I therefore need to allow vendors to configure their own shipping. When I click WCMp > Enable Vendor Shipping, now the customer is charged £3.00 per vendor! This means the customer is paying £3.00 for vendor 1, £3.00 for vendor 2 plus the vendor 3 shipping charge (so £6.00 + vendor 3 shipping charge).

I want to keep one global delivery charge for vendor 1 and vendor 2, and also allow vendor 3 to add their own shipping method. Then the customer can have products from vendor 1 and vendor 2 delivered for £3.00 still, not £6.00.

      Is this possible?

      Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

By default flow we have flat rate, local pickup and free shipping methods which can be added from admin end. Now if the admin has enabled the vendor shipping then shipping rates can be added by the vendor. However, vendors need to add the admin created shipping class to the products then only admin shipping will be calculated.

By default flow, vendors cannot access shipping class of another vendor. If you want to do it then you have to do custom coding at your end to add this functionality.

      Hi,

I tried this but it hasn’t worked. I changed the shipping class of a vendor’s products to be the admin created shipping class. I did this for two vendors. My aim was that if a customer had products from these two vendors in their cart, they only need to pay one combined shipping charge for the products (even though they were from two vendors).

However, even after I changed the shipping class to be the admin created shipping class, the customer is still charged for each vendor. I want one combined shipping charge for multiple vendors.

Is the issue that the vendor themselves has to change the shipping class to the admin created shipping class? So far I have been changing the shipping class through wordpress admin

      Thanks

Hi Raoul, thanks for getting in touch with us.

Can you please share some screenshots to explain the issue i.e. ” even after I changed the shipping class to be the admin created shipping class, the customer is still charged for each vendor. I want one combined shipping charge for multiple vendors.”, so we can help you out.
