ParticipantHi,
Many of my vendors, own 5-10 brands. Brands are what the consumers are buying when they buy shoes: Reebok, Nike, Adidas, etc. So in some instances a vendor will own more than one brand listed on our website. The challenge is that users dont care for vendors but want to review brands or products of that brand. Has anyone had this challenge where by a vendor can have a number of children (brands) or do I need to add each brand as its own vendor?

KeymasterHello there, Thank you for reaching out to us.
Regarding your question, a single vendor can indeed sell multiple brands from their store without any issues. Additionally, when a buyer leaves a review for a product, it will be attributed to the vendor’s store to whom that product belongs.
Could you please let us know the specific issue you’re encountering with this setup?

ParticipantThanks Sangita – assume those brands will just be attached to the product line item? I suppose I’m wondering when a vendor logins into their account and see review and followers, whether these reviews are just a collection of product reviews (vs company reviews) and how people would follow a company?

Keymaster@sean-7927, thank you for getting back to us!
Could you please confirm if you’re adding brands as product tags for the products?
Regarding reviews, product reviews and vendor reviews are combined and displayed as the vendor’s store reviews on their store page. You can see an example here: https://cus.dualcube.com/mvx1/vendor/vendor1/reviews/.
For more information about this module, please check our documentation here: https://multivendorx.com/docs/knowledgebase/store-review.
If you have any further questions, please let us know!

ParticipantYou mentioned above whether we are adding brands through product tags, is this the best practice? I suppose I will have 500+ brands, each with their own brand showcase page, with logo, image etc. Trying to work out the best way to do this and trying to work out if I missed soemthing.

Keymaster@sean-7927, Thank you for getting back to us. Could you please share more details about how you’d like to integrate the brands with the products? This will help us better understand your approach and provide the most effective assistance.
Currently, if you add brands as tags for products, there isn’t a direct way to create separate product pages based on tags. However, if you want to create distinct pages for different brands, you can add your brands as categories. Once done, you can create pages for products by category using the following shortcode:
[mvx_product_category vendor="" per_page="12" columns="4" orderby="title" order="DESC" category="" operator="IN"]
Please let us know your thoughts so we can assist you further.
