      Hello,

I’m working on setting up MultivendorX Pro and Paypal Marketplace (Real Time Split) in particular. But I’m having a few problems getting it to work properly.

The first problem: I’ve added extra charges that are automatically added to the subtotal on the payment page and the VAT appears separately. Woocommerce calculates the total amount correctly, but when I go to checkout with the Paypal payment gateway, it only shows the subtotal amount and doesn’t take the extra charges and VAT.

How can I solve this problem?

      Thank you for your feedback.

(And I don’t have this problem with Paypal Payout, for example).

    • #236066

@frenchb, could you please share screenshots of your settings for PayPal extra charges, VAT, etc., along with the amounts displayed at checkout and on PayPal’s end? This will help us review the process and provide further assistance.

      Hello,

In addition to the problem above, I’ve also noticed these other problems with MVX Paypal Marketplace.

      Payment set to “Immediate”:

      – Payment status marked as “Paid” in the “Commission” section on MultivendorX
      – On the Paypal Sandbox, I notice that the money is debited to the buyer, the seller receives his share but the Marketplace does not receive its part of the payment.

Payment set to “On order complete”:

      – Payment status marked as “Paid” in the “Commission” section on MultivendorX, while the order is marked as “in progress” in Woocommerce.
      – When I change the status of the sub-order on Woocommerce, I get an error message (see the screenshot).
      – On the Paypal Sandbox, I notice that the money is debited to the buyer, but neither the seller and the marketplace receives its part of the payment.

If this can help you to solve the various problems.

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

@frenchb, Thank you for your cooperation. We have reviewed the issue you mentioned in #236060, and the amounts displayed at checkout and on PayPal appear to be consistent. Please check the screenshots here: screenshot 1, screenshot 2.

Kindly ensure that the currency settings on your site and PayPal are aligned.

Regarding the issue mentioned in #236091, our team is currently investigating, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

      Hello,

      Sorry but I can’t see your screenshots 1 & 2.
In problem #236060, the amounts are not consistent.
I have a total amount of 67.28 euros and Paypal only records the price of the product at 50.00 euros. There’s a problem adding up the amounts.

I’ve checked my currencies and they are correctly set.

    • #236131

Kindly check the screenshots from here – https://prnt.sc/zfpJZAvGrM2S, https://prnt.sc/3P5sHc1J6UAe. Both the product amount and tax amount are calculated in these areas.

Since you’re experiencing issues, please create a staging site that is an exact replica of your live site. Once done, share the staging site URL along with temporary admin and FTP access so we can investigate and assist you further.

Additionally, please ensure to mark your reply as private when sharing the access details.

    • #236149

Hello, Regarding the issue you raised about the admin not receiving the fees, we investigated further and found that this occurs because, by default, the PayPal Sandbox mode does not credit the platform with fees. This issue should not arise when using PayPal in live mode. For more details, you can refer to similar discussions here: https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Sandbox-Environment/Platform-Partner-Account-not-receiving-platform-fee-in-sandbox/td-p/2631849.

If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

      Hello,

I’ve taken note of this, but unfortunately it doesn’t solve the problems I’m having with MVX Paypal Marketplace in particular:

      – calculation of the total amount
      – the fact that the amount is automatically marked as “paid” in the commission section
      – the error message generated when I change the order status to “completed”.

I can’t share the site with you via FTP, but please let me know what I need to inspect in order to resolve the situation quickly.

      Thank you for your help.

    • #236164

@frenchb, Our replies are inline with your queries –
      – calculation of the total amount
      >> As we mentioned earlier, we have been unable to replicate the issue on our end. Therefore, having access to a staging site (a replica of your live site) would be extremely helpful for us to investigate the issue.

      – the fact that the amount is automatically marked as “paid” in the commission section
      >> With MVX PayPal Marketplace, payments are split in real time. This means that as soon as a customer pays the order amount, both the vendor and the admin receive their respective commissions, and the commissions are automatically marked as paid according to the default flow.
Could you please let us know what issues you are encountering with this process, so we can assist you further?

      – the error message generated when I change the order status to “completed”.
      >> Kindly share the error details with us so that we can look into it and assist you accordingly.

We will look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi @frenchb, Thank you for getting back to us.

Regarding the issue with the WooCommerce Extra Fees plugin, could you please clarify who should receive the extra fees? If the extra fees are intended for the admin, we suggest reaching out to the Extra Fees plugin team. Ask them to provide the code that they use to fetch the extra fee for each order. Then we will look into that and will assist you for getting the extra fees in the PayPal marketplace for admin charges.

However, if you wish for the vendor to receive the extra fees, please note that this would require significant custom coding, as it would involve commission calculations. In this case, the customization would need to be handled on your end.

As for the PayPal Immediate Disbursement mode, please understand that since the payment is disbursed immediately, the commission is marked as paid. On the other hand, with PayPal Payouts, the money is disbursed after a scheduled cron event(https://prnt.sc/2h4WfChW-dXR), which is why the commission isn’t marked as paid immediately.

Regarding the PayPal “On Order Completed” disbursement mode, we have tested the flow on our end and did not encounter the error you mentioned. However, it’s possible that PayPal has updated their API, affecting the payment disbursement process. Our team will be looking into this to ensure the flow aligns with the mode set.

Please let us know if you have any further questions. We’re here to help!

      Hello,

I confirm that the extra fees are received by the marketplace admin.

As for the Paypal API update, I confirm that there was one because I saw a notification about it. It is quite possible that it is the update of this API that is causing the problem.

Please check with your team and get back to me to unblock the situation as soon as possible. We are blocked and we cannot move forward.

      Thank you in advance.

    • #236218

@frenchb, Thank you for confirming the extra fees for the admin. We kindly suggest reaching out to the Extra Fees plugin team and asking them to share the code they use to fetch the extra fee for each order. Once you have that, we can review it and assist you in integrating the extra fees into the PayPal marketplace for admin charges.

Regarding the disbursement mode settings, our team will investigate and provide the necessary fixes. However, as you mentioned, we haven’t encountered any errors on our end when updating the order status of the suborder. It would be very helpful if you could share the error log from your website that appears when you update the order status. This will allow us to assist you more effectively.

Hi @frenchb, We are able to reproduce the error you mentioned on your site, and I’ve shared the details with our development team. It appears the issue occurs when the “Disbursement mode” is set to “On order complete” in the WooCommerce settings section. Rest assured, our team is actively investigating, and I will keep you updated as soon as we have any developments. For the time being you can check the payment flow with the other disbursement mode available.

Thank you for your continuous cooperation and understanding.

Hello, Thank you for getting back to us! We’re glad to hear that the payment flow with PayPal Marketplace is functioning well on your end.

Regarding the admin not receiving the fees: as mentioned previously, in PayPal’s sandbox mode, the admin fees won’t reflect in the admin’s PayPal account. However, once you switch to live mode, this issue won’t occur, and the admin will receive the fees as expected. You can find more details about this process here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/77156393/paypal-platform-fee-not-received-to-partner-account. https://developer.paypal.com/docs/multiparty/.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to let us know. We’ll also include this fix in our next update.

      Hello Sangita,

Thank you for your work and your feedback. I understood the problem with the PayPal Sandbox, the Marketplace commission can only be paid into a bank account (and not a PayPal account).

I’m looking forward to your update on the payment solution with the payment set to “order complete”.

For my part, I looked at what I could get from the developer for the extras Fees. Below is access to the developer code for the Woocommerce part.

      https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/woo-conditional-product-fees-for-checkout/#trunk

I’ll let you and your team take a look.

      Thanks for your feedback.

    • #236598

Hello, Thank you for getting back to us and for providing access to review the extra fees plugin code.
However, analyzing the code of a third-party plugin to understand its flow is challenging for our team and is beyond our free support policy. If you could share the specific code snippet that the plugin uses to apply extra fees for WooCommerce orders and payment gateway, we would be happy to assist in ensuring that these fees are processed correctly when using our payment mode.
Please share the code snippet, and we’ll gladly help you further.

      Hello,

I haven’t heard back from the developer yet.

However, as I mentioned at the beginning of the post, I don’t have this problem calculating the total amount with the extras Fees with PayPal Payout integrated into MultivendorX.

I think we need to look at taking the part of the code that is in PayPal Payout and integrating it into PayPal Marketplace.

    • #236611

Hello there, Thank you for your response. Once you receive the code snippet from the Extra Fees plugin team, please share it with us so that we can assist you further.

To clarify, the PayPal Payout module is specifically designed for vendor payment collection, not for receiving payments from customers. At checkout, you would typically use a WooCommerce payment gateway compatible with the Extra Fees plugin and with the PayPal Payout module disburse the vendor commission, which is why the extra fees are applied accordingly.

      Hello,

I’m coming back to you after the last update I received a while ago. I noticed that the “order completed” mode was still unavailable.

Do you know when this mode will be available?

Also, so that the buyer can check product availability before placing an order, I wanted to use the Order Approval for Woocommerce + Order Approval for MultiVendorX plugins. The plugin works correctly with MultivendorX, but there are problems with MVX Paypal Marketplace (in direct split mode), where payments are not processed. When the buyer validates the payment (after the seller has validated availability), the order appears as paid in MultivendorX and “pending” in Woocommerce. Changing the status manually doesn’t change anything on the Sandbox accounts (seller and buyer). Can you check with your team to solve this problem too?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

    • #237548

Hi @frenchb, thanks for your support.

Our the team is checking, kindly give them one more day, so I can assist you properly.

Looking for your co-operation regarding the same.

    • #237562

Hi @frenchb, Thank you for getting back to us, and we sincerely apologize for the delay in implementing the “order completed” mode in the PayPal Marketplace. This delay occurred as our development team has been occupied with other pre-assigned tasks. However, please rest assured that we aim to prioritize this soon. As soon as we have an update, we will notify you promptly.

Regarding the issue you’re encountering with the PayPal Marketplace and the Order Approval for MultiVendorX plugin, it appears to be a compatibility issue with the third-party plugin you mentioned. We recommend reaching out to the support team of that plugin to share the details of your issue. Meanwhile, we will also contact them to seek a resolution.

We’ll keep you updated once we will hear back from them. Likewise, if you receive any feedback from them, please let us know.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
