Hi,
The search functionality allows for ‘search by product’. It is possible to enable ‘search by vendor’ in the same box?
Or how can we achieve this.

What options do we have? Idealy within the same text box field. Is it Possible to smart-sense if the search term is a vendor or product through a drop down or something? Let me know, happy to work together on this. Thanks.

@Picflick, For the “search by product” option are you using any widget on your end. Also it will be really helpful if you can share a screenshot with us showing where are you wanting to implement the “search by vendor” option.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot. The “search by product” option is coming from your theme. Now as there is not any option for “search by vendor”, you can add the “MVX:vendor list” (https://prnt.sc/md_tuWZCPwJG) widget on your end and from there you can show the list of vendors.

Thanks for the response and showing me this widget – it is definitely the functionality I am looking for, but not the design or User Experience. Please see attached how it looks, it’s not a good presentation on the webpage. Any chance to improve it to fit in the page nicely.

Hello there, Thanks for getting back to us.

To change the styling of the default vendor list widget’s design, you will have to add custom CSS on your end and do the modification as per your requirement.
