Hello! I have a couple of issues with setting up my multivendor webpage.

      1) I created a vendor account. The system should send a verification email, but I did not receive it. If I choose “Lost your password?”, then the page does not send out an email either. Therefore there is no way to create a password for the vendor.

      2) The second issue is that when I am logged in a vendor’s account, the menu does not show a button, where I could add products.

Could you please help with these two issues?

@meritroosna Our replies are inline with your queries –

      1) I created a vendor account. The system should send a verification email, but I did not receive it. If I choose “Lost your password?”, then the page does not send out an email either. Therefore there is no way to create a password for the vendor.

      >>As per the default flow of MultiVendorX if the admin adds a vendor from backend then only one welcome email for account creation will be triggered for the vendor https://prnt.sc/99VB6hdT7LhC.
If a new vendor registers to the sight via filling the vendor registration form then a email will be triggered for admin notifying about the new vendor account https://prnt.sc/jvCOzt0Ig9M9 and vendor will receive two emails – one for welcoming the vendor on site with the login details https://prnt.sc/6Up2z9l1WOuF and another for setting new password and account details https://prnt.sc/7_fNgTULZERY.
Now once the admin approves the vendor the vendor will receive another mail regarding the approval of his application https://prnt.sc/Pqpj_-7x6g1z.
But in the whole flow there will not be any verification mail triggered for the vendor.
Now if you want the verification flow you will have to use some thirdparty woocommerce compatible plugin on your end.
The vendor chooses the “ lost your password” option after putting the username name or email and requesting for password reset a password reset email is also triggered perfectly to the vendor https://prnt.sc/iXCVxAyRaTEJ.
Kindly go to WooCommerce >> Settings >> Emails , and check if you have done the email settings correctly or not.

      2) The second issue is that when I am logged in a vendor’s account, the menu does not show a button, where I could add products.

      >>Not to worry. You just need to go to the admin dashboard >> MultiVendorX >> Settings >> Product capability, from here you need to enable the submit product option https://prnt.sc/LhXTo22z4b8K.
Once you enable the submit product option the vendor will get the add product submenu under Product manager https://prnt.sc/NtJ3vs5oGhiv.
If you need any further assistance please let us know.

Thank you so much for your thorough reply!

I am actually still struggling with these issues and I am starting to think that maybe my MultiVendorX plugin is not activated?

      1) When I registered as a Vendor, then my admin account didn’t receive any notification and I didn’t receive any welcome or login information emails on my vendor email. I checked my admin email settings too.
      2) The “submit product” is activated for the vendor, but it still doesn’t show the option on the vendor’s account.

Can you offer any further tips? I am so grateful for any information you can provide!

      >>As shared earlier the flow is working fine on our end.
So at first check the email settings in WooCommerce carefully https://watch.screencastify.com/v/n0IHSYdlOxZLFm9uUIUJ. Then deactivate all the plugins on your end except for WooCommerce and MultiVendorX and then install the plugin Email log and then again check the vendor registration flow and check the log on Email log plugin. There you will find all the details of the mails that are being triggered https://prnt.sc/dzLVP3R7CaDX.
      2) The “submit product” is activated for the vendor, but it still doesn’t show the option on the vendor’s account.

      >>Kindly check first if you have enabled different product types under Marketplace types in the Modules submenu of MultiVendorX https://prnt.sc/lcimpsIFe4zS.
Then check the product capabilities section under the settings submenu of MultiVendorX.
You can follow our doc for detailed information of the different capabilities :https://multivendorx.com/docs/knowledgebase/product-management-capability/
Now kindly check the flow of these capabilities on your end and if you face any issue please let us know.
