      – Have been using the plugin for years, just upgraded to Pro

Just tested a product by subscribing 2 email addresses to it (mine and owners)

They updated stock on their backend system which updated the stock level via woocommerce API… product is now in stock.

Neither of us have received an email. We got the initial subscription email, but no stock notification. All other emails from their server working fine.

Hello @Clare Mills, Sorry to hear that you have faced an issue on your end.

The back in stock mail is included in the free version of the plugin only. Now as you are updating the product stock using woocommerce API, kindly let us know if you were getting the ‘back in stock mail’ in the earlier version of the plugin after updating the stock by WooCommerce API.

We are waitting for your reply.

Yes, the stock email notifications were going out with the free version of the plugin until Dec 7 when they suddenly stopped. We upgraded to the PRO version of the plugin on Dec 12 to get access to the log, then ran a simulated test to increment one product with stock, but no emails have gone out since Dec 7. It’s been working fine for years before then.

I can see in the plugin “mail sent” log more emails have gone out since Dec 7th, including the 2 emails where we subscribed two test emails to a product.

We updated that product 24 hours ago and it has stock.

But still no stock notification emails.

      Any update today?

    • #215246

@Clare Mills Can you please let us know on which version the back in stock email notification was working perfectly on your end.

Also please let us know, whether you added any additional code on your end for this flow.

The plugin is set to auto-update and updated by itself on Dec 7th. At that time it stopped working. All versions of the plugin before the latest update were working fine.

I just tested on your dev site by subscribing my email to an out of stock product.

the product was set to inventory 0

I then incremented it to 1.

I did not receive a product subscription email and I did not receive a “back in stock” notification either.

So it’s not working there either.

    • #215301

@Clare Mills On our site, we don’t have email server configured, hence you need to see all emails via Email Log menu : http://tinyurl.com/2xg9r9x3.
However let me explain the flow to you that we are testing on our end. A product is out of stock and a user is subscribing to that out of stock product on the website. The subscription mail is getting triggered (you can check that on the email log plugin).
Next from the WooCommerce app we are updating the stock and the stock status are getting synced with the website but the back in stock mails are getting triggered when stock is getting updated through the WooCommerce app.

This is still not working, please arrange a refund asap.

Hi Clare, Firstly, we completely understand your frustration, and I’d like to provide clarification. Our plugin functions seamlessly when updating stock from your browser.

Admittedly, there was a lack of support for the WooCommerce API in our previous versions, leading to the issue you encountered. Over the past few days, we’ve actively addressed this issue and implemented a solution. To test the updated plugin, you can download it from the following link: https://www.transfernow.net/dl/202312280RaEZ7OQ

Please let us know if this resolves the issue for you.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Hi Moumita.. we are already running 2.3.0 which is the plugin you sent us .. BUT you sent us the free version of the plugin. We paid for the PRO version of the plugin.

Can you resend us a fixed version of the PRO plugin to see if it now works?

I can confirm the plugin you sent us now works from our testing. The email goes out ok.

The only issue now is that it’s not the PRO version we paid for.

    • #215642

Hi@Clare Mills, Great to hear that the plugin works fine on your end.
The problem you encountered with email notifications not being sent was specific to the free version of the plugin. This issue is not related to the pro plugin.
Our Pro version provides these following features :
      Double opt in
      Mailchimp integration
      Recaptcha integration
      Subscription dashboard and many more.
If you need any further assistance please let us know.

So we can’t use the pro version then?

In that case would you prefer to refund the money we paid for the pro version, or is there a pro version that works for the stock notifications?

    • #215704

Hello @Clare Mills, You can surely use the pro version for the advanced features like Mailchimp integration, double opt in and others.

Furthermore, we plan to introduce an inventory management system in our upcoming updates, allowing both admins and vendors to seamlessly manage their inventory. This enhancement will bring substantial benefits to your website.

However, for any queries related to refund kindly reach out to our refund team.
But please do look into the refund policy to check your eligibility : https://multivendorx.com/terms-and-conditions/

We paid for the pro version because the alert emails were not going out on the free version.

You sent us a “fixed” non-pro version of the plugin and now it works.

So if we aren’t using the pro-version and you can’t give us a pro version where the stock alert emails work, we should qualify for a refund. Please forward this to the refund team.

    • #215746

Hello @Clare Mills Kindly understand the In stock emails notification is a feature of our free plugin only. That email triggering was never a feature of the Pro version.
All the features of the Pro version of our plugin are described clearly in our product details page https://multivendorx.com/woocommerce-product-stock-manager-notifier-pro/.
However, for any query related to refund please do look into the refund policy to check your eligibility and contact the refund team, as they handle all refund related queries : https://multivendorx.com/terms-and-conditions/

Why would email stock notifications NOT be a feature of the Pro version? And why does the Pro version unlock the email history log if it doesn’t have email stock notifications? And why does the Pro version have a section all about stock notifications and add an email capture form to the products telling customers to add their email address?

      Are you being serious?

    • #215796

Clare, You’ve been using the Stock Alert plugin for two years, and as you’re aware, customers receive in-stock emails via the core free plugin. However, you recently reported a bug where this in-stock email isn’t triggered through the API. The fix for this issue will be implemented in our core plugin, as core plugin sends all the in-stock mail to it’s subscriber.

Infact the email add field of the out of stock product also comes from our core free plugin.

On the other hand, our Pro version monitors whether the email is sent by our core plugin, and based on that status, pro plugin determine and set the mail’s ‘Sent’ status in the subscriber list page.
