ParticipantHello,
With Stripe Connect, using Stripe Marketplace module and Express Account I face the following error on the Vendor’s side when clicking on the Connect with Stripe button from Vendor Dashboar > Settings > Billing tab.
{“error”:{“message”:”Cannot onboard via express oauth due to gated access.”,”code”:”forbidden”}}
In this article (https://stripe.com/docs/connect/oauth-express-accounts), I see that “OAuth with Express accounts” is deprecated and Stripe suggests using “Accounts API with Express” instead.
Please share your plans on addressing this issue.

But we have checked the flow for Stripe express account types on our end but we are not facing any such issue. Kindly check the video here : https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/24588558?key=a933aade5d608e4d9b15bd606841116a.
But thanks for informing us about this. We are going to update our Stripe API library to the latest version and look into the issue mentioned by you. -

ParticipantHello @Sangita,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, this issue appears only for new Stripe Accounts according to this article: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/oauth-express-accounts
I’d appreciate receiving updates on this.

ParticipantNo rush. This is a big thing, I believe, and a matter of weeks at least.

ParticipantWas this resolved? I have the same issue with connecting new users.
It seems Stripe deprecated this option.
“OAuth isn’t available for new Connect platforms. For new accounts, use Accounts API with Express instead. Extensions shouldn’t use Express OAuth, as extensions can’t connect to existing Express accounts”

KeymasterHello, No need to worry. We’re currently in the process of revamping the Stripe marketplace module and making all necessary modifications. We anticipate releasing the new MultiVendorX Pro version with the fix either today or tomorrow.
Thank you for your understanding.

ParticipantI updated it to 1.3.2 today. I still could connect any new vendor to Stripe. It failed at the same step, but with a different error message:
{“error”:{“message”:”Cannot onboard via express oauth due to gated access.”,”code”:”forbidden”}}
