Please help me asap. Since I upgraded to the new Pro versions once again users who sign up for a subscription to my site are being added as customers instead of venders. My subscription has a 2 month free trial and no sign up fee. When I added a sign up fee this did not happen, bu I dont want a sign up fee. I found that when prompted for payment details the flow works to bring in the users as vendors but when no payment is requested the users come in as customers

If you set a recurring subscription plan for which you have set up a sign up fee as 0 only then when a user proceeds with this payment (https://prnt.sc/3UruFQ0uVJ9a) and they will get registered as customers . Otherwise stripe/paypal can’t proceed with the payment.

Only if you have some fee (signup in your case) then there will be a payment option and after paying that the user will get registered as a vendor.

This is how stripe and paypal is operated. As it requires them to charge some amount.

It is working properly in the last version of Pro, only when I updated the version it stoped working!
But I need the new version because my users cannot cancel their subscription on the new version!

Our dev team is working on the fix and some upgradation of the Marketplace membership module flow. So kindly give us a little time.

Once we are done we will keep you posted.

@Nathan Wolhendler, As we have mentioned in our #197672 reply that we are adding some upgrades in our Marketplace membership flow.

So as per the new flow, for any recurring plan having a free trial a minimum sign up fee is a must.

Because Stripe needs an amount to capture the card details of the vendor. Otherwise how it can’t process the recurring charge after the free trial.

what I don’t understand is why it is working in the current version (it shows the price but is not charging until the trial is up) but not in the new version?

    • #203416

@Nathan Wolhendler We have checked the free trial with the currently released version on your site and it is working fine. We have already mentioned that here https://multivendorx.com/support-forum/topic/free-trial-setup-for-my-subscription-but-my-client-was-just-billed/.

Also we have checked the free trial with the plugin version that we have shared with you and there also the trial is working fine. Kindly check the video https://watch.screencastify.com/v/Gep6B8HgKGK0l9XtGovP.

I keep getting this error, most users are coming in as pending vendors but every 4 or 5 users who sign up are not being prompted to the checkout page when they click register and they are coming in as customers (with no subscription plan and no registration form data)

Nathan, in order to assist you with this, we need to recreate the same.

So, please so share a temporary staging site access, where you have added your stripe’s sandbox details. This way we can do parallel testing.
