Brief Introduction #
Taking breaks is essential, but store owners don’t want to lose sales or customers while away. The MultiVendorX Pro Vacation module lets store owners manage their store during their absence by controlling product availability, notifying admins and customers, and maintaining a seamless shopping experience.
Requirements #
Vacation Configuration #
When a store owner plans to take a break, they can enable the Vacation option. This feature allows store owners to mark the days they will be unavailable on a calendar and automatically notify customers about their absence.
Enable Vacation Module from the Admin Dashboard #
To provide store owners the flexibility to take a break, you first need to enable the Vacation module. Follow these steps:
- Go to the Admin Dashboard and select MultiVendorX.
- From the MultiVendorX menu, select Modules.
- On the Modules page, navigate to the Store Management section.
- Locate the Vacation module and enable it by toggling it on.

Once the Vacation module is enabled, store owners can plan their breaks without disrupting their business operations, ensuring a smooth experience for customers even during their absence.
This allows admins to stay informed about store availability and manage marketplace operations smoothly while store owners are on vacation.
Planning a Store Vacation from the Store dashboard #
If a store owner decides to take a break, they can put their store on vacation mode. To enable vacation mode, the store owner must follow these steps:
- Go to the Store Owner Dashboard and navigate to Settings.
- From the Settings submenu, select the Vacation option.
- On the Vacation page, configure the following settings:
- Vacation Planner: Use this clickable calendar to select the days the store will be unavailable. These dates will be sent to the admin via email.
- Block purchases on holidays: Enabling this option will prevent customers from placing new orders during the vacation period.
- “Add to Cart” Button Text: The text added here will replace “Add to Cart” button text in the frontend.
- Notification Message: Inform customers about the duration of the store’s absence.

These settings ensure that the store owner can take a break while keeping customers informed and maintaining a smooth shopping experience.
View Planned Store Vacations #
When a store owner schedules a vacation, the admin will receive a notification email as soon as the dates are added to the Vacation Planner. To view the vacation details, follow these steps:
- Go to MultiVendorX > Store in the Admin Dashboard.
- Select Edit Store Details for the store whose vacation information you want to view.
- Navigate to the Store Vacation section to see the planned vacation dates and details for that store.
