Customer Queries

Brief Introduction #

In a marketplace, clear communication builds trust and boosts sales. The Question & Answer module in MultiVendorX enables customers to submit their queries directly on product pages, ensuring they get the information they need before purchasing. Once approved by the admin, store owners can respond, and both the question and answer are displayed on the frontend. This not only helps the individual customer but also provides valuable insights for other shoppers with similar concerns, creating a more transparent and supportive shopping experience.

Enable Q&A Feature (Admin Setup) #

To configure the Question & Answer module, administrators should follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the MultiVendorX menu in the WordPress dashboard navigation bar
  2. Click on the Modules submenu
  3. Locate the Customer Experience section on the Modules page
  4. Enable the Customer Queries module to activate it for your marketplace

Customer Side (What Customers See) #

Asking Questions #

Once the module is enabled, customers will see a new Question & Answer tab on single product pages. From this section, customers can:

  • View previously answered questions
  • Submit new questions about the product

Viewing Answers #

After questions are answered by administrators or store owners, customers can view the responses in the same Question & Answer tab on the product page.

Admin Side (How Admin Manages Questions) #

Administrators can manage customer questions through the following process:

  1. Navigate to Customer in the admin dashboard under MultivendorX
  2. Go to the Queries tab to view customer questions
  3. Locate the Q&A table section
  4. Click the Answer (Edit) option for any question to:
  5. Provide a reply to the customer’s question
  6. Set the visibility as Public or Private
  7. Save the answer to publish or store it
  8. Delete the question if necessary

Store Owner Side (Vendor Flow) #

Store owners can also respond to customer questions by following these steps:

  1. Go to Store Dashboard
  2. Navigate to Store Support
  3. Click on Customer Questions
  4. Use the Answer option to write and save replies to customer questions

Notification System #

When a customer submits a new question:

  • Both the administrator and the relevant store owner receive notifications
  • This ensures timely responses and better customer service
