Brief Introduction #
Wholesale purchasing is a cornerstone of business commerce, allowing companies to buy products in bulk at discounted rates for resale or business use. Many businesses rely on wholesale pricing to maintain healthy profit margins and meet customer demand efficiently.
The Wholesale module in MultiVendorX Pro empowers store owners to tap into this essential market by enabling them to set special wholesale prices for bulk purchases. This powerful feature allows store owners to serve both retail and wholesale customers on a single platform, maximizing revenue opportunities and expanding their customer base to include distributors, resellers, and business buyers.

Configuration Flow from the Admin Dashboard #
To begin configuring the Wholesale Module, you’ll first need to enable it. Follow the steps below:
- Go to your WordPress Admin Dashboard and scroll down to MultiVendorX.
- From the navigation bar, select the Modules submenu.
- Once the page loads, scroll to the Store Management section.
- Enable the Wholesale Module.
Once the module is activated, the associated settings need to be configured.
To do this, navigate to MultiVendorX → Settings → Marketing → Wholesale from the admin dashboard. From here, you can begin configuring the available Wholesale settings listed below.
1. Wholesale Buyer Verification #
The admin can decide how wholesale buyer requests are approved:
- Manual – When a customer submits the wholesale application form, their request is sent to the admin for approval.
- Automatic – Customers are instantly granted wholesale buyer status upon submitting the request.
2. Who Can See Wholesale Prices #
The admin can control the visibility of wholesale product prices:
- All Registered Users – Every logged-in customer can view wholesale prices, regardless of approval status.
- Approved Wholesale Users Only – Only customers who have been approved as wholesale buyers can view wholesale prices.
3. How Wholesale Prices Are Displayed #
The admin can decide how wholesale prices appear on product pages:
- Along with Retail Prices – Both retail and wholesale prices are displayed side by side, allowing customers to compare.
- Wholesale Price Only – Retail prices are hidden, and only wholesale prices are shown to eligible buyers.
4. Wholesale Form #
In this section, the admin can configure the fields to be included in the wholesale application form. These fields determine the information customers must provide when applying to become wholesale buyers.
Configuration from the Store Owner dashboard #
Once the admin has activated the module and completed the configuration, store owners will gain the option to add wholesale pricing to their products.
Configuring Wholesale Price for Simple Products #
To add wholesale proces for the simple products the store owners need to simply follow the below steps –
- Go to Store Owner Dashboard → Products.
- From this page simply click on Add Product.
- Scroll to Wholesale section .
- Enable “Wholesale for this product”.
- Enter the Wholesale Price and Minimum Quantity for Wholesale.
Configuring Wholesale Price for Variable Products #
For variable products, wholesale settings must be configured individually for each variation.
For example, if a product has variations such as Large Green, Large Red, Small Green, Small Red, then for each variation, the store owner needs to set:
- Regular Price
- Wholesale Price
- Minimum Quantity for Wholesale
Applying to Become a Wholesale Customer #
Customers who wish to become wholesale buyers can apply through their My Account page.
- If the admin has set Wholesale Buyer Verification to Automatic, the customer will be granted wholesale access immediately.
- If set to Manual, the customer must wait for admin approval before gaining wholesale privileges.
Wholesale Customer’s Frontend View #
For simple products, wholesale customers will be able to see:
- The Wholesale Price
- The Minimum Quantity for Wholesale
This ensures that wholesale customers clearly understand pricing and quantity requirements before making a purchase.
