      Hi support,
I have difficulties in imagining the flow when setting up the live chat using WhastApp & FB Messenger. I’ve set up WhatsApp and tried on it. The customer seems to be directed to WhatsApp Web to continue the chat in which they’ll leave my site during the conversation. For FB messenger, is the messenger live chat module’s flow something like in the video attached below?

If not, could you please record a video showing the flow on the front end for the live chat module via FB Messenger and WhatsApp? Just in case I miss out anything as the documentation does not really have enough information in this regard.

Hello @Chris, if you want customers to contact vendors via whatsapp, they will get redirected to use whatsapp web . This is the default flow provided by whatsapp. For your better understanding I have attached a video – https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/18663738?key=0ae4c45df49156f274f0e16ca6ab40ce
In case of Facebook or Messenger, it will be open within your site itself
If you need any further help, please let us know.

Yes, I’ve set up using Facebook Messenger, included the Page ID via vendor backend, and tried by clicking chat button in the vendor details tab, but the chat button did not showing anything when clicked. I also deactivated all other plugins as well to see if there’s any conflict but it is still not showing anything when the chat button is clicked. I’ve set up via my staging site, can you please help me check on it if I missed out setting anything or there’s any issue? Thanks

While waiting for your team to look into this issue, do I need to pay your service team to make this usable as well? Instead of $299 $399 $499, why not you just sell with $1299, $2299, $3299, $1399, $1499, $2499, or $3499? So that we don’t need to waste time setting up so many missing essential features and debugging issues? Even a $34 plugin has a better support and more useful than your $299 $399 $499.

We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience.
Facebook recently changed their chat integration flow, hence you are facing this issue.
The team is looking into the configuration for Facebook Messenger. Once we have the solution we will surely let you know. Please provide us some time.

Tested & working now but the process to open a chat once the chat button is clicked is running slower than expected. Also, there’s some limitation for chatting in guest mode. If a customer (in guest mode) leave the page or refresh the page, the chat history is not accessible anymore from customer’s end but only accessible from vendor’s end. Even if the vendor replied to that conversation, customer also couldn’t retrieve it anymore or access to that conversation if he’s in guest mode. The customer have to start another conversation but if he leaves the page or refreshes the page, the loop starts again.

@Chris, The chat flow for Messenger is totally controlled by Facebook itself.
For detailed information on the flow you may go through this doc https://www.facebook.com/business/help/925702697860930
