Hi, none of the Stripe accounts are restricted. Payments to these accounts worked OK before we updated to the latest version of Stripe Marketplace (we went from v1.2.1 to v2.0.1). Thanks

Actually I forgot you can use different payment methods, this message means they haven’t connected any of your chosen payment methods.

That just means you are trying to purchase from a vendor who hasn’t connected to Stripe yet.

If they connect to a Stripe account through their dashboard then they will be able to accept payments and this message will disappear.

Hi @wcmp_support_ninja yes we are using the Membership plugin and have the submit options ticked (this hasn’t changed in the main or membership plan options). Would it remove this menu item if it wasn’t ticked?

I am looking at our plugin info and it actually shows WCMp Vendor Membership as being “Version 999.0.0” installed, but I see your latest version is 2.4! Does this mean there’s an issue with our plugin? As far as I know, no work happened on the site recently, this has just stopped working correctly.

I just checked and I can still register a new vendor with a subscription though, so it seems as though it’s all working except the ability to manage products!

We thought so too! But we found this plugin that lets you login as any user, just find them in the wp-admin user list and click on the ‘Switch User’ text it adds under each one to do this: https://johnblackbourn.com/wordpress-plugin-user-switching/

@andy-conner We are just a customer, same as you!

We were thinking of a similar solution, but we do allow affiliate products on our subscription-based marketplace, so if a vendor only has affiliate products (that link to their own site) then they don’t need a Stripe account, and some prefer that this is one less registration needed!

@andy-conner if you’re using Stripe Marketplace but a vendor hasn’t connected Stripe yet, they won’t be able to take orders until they have connected.

Customers see this message if they add their products to their baskets, then view the basket:
“You have products belonging to more than one vendor in your cart who might be facing some technical issues. Contact the admin for more details.”

We changed this to be a bit more friendly, and will hopefully also be adding the product and vendor name to this message, because if you have several items from different vendors in your basket, you have to remove them one by one to find out who hasn’t connected Stripe yet!

“There are products in your basket that belong to a shop that hasn’t connected a payment method to their account. Please contact the shop to inform them and ask about alternative payment methods.”

You just need to install a Wishlist WordPress Plugin – we had YITH Woocommerce Wishlist installed automatically with our hosting, works well and you can view/add to cart from the list and share your list with others. But I have just seen it gets lots of bad reviews, not sure why! There are a few free ones to try if you search.

Thanks @Moumita that would be good. We also provide free plans, so it would be good if these can be cancelled too, I can’t see how this is currently possible for vendors to do this themselves because there is no payment to cancel so we have to cancel their plan for them.

Thanks @neha it’s not ideal that the vendor cannot do this from their dashboard.

How does this work from the marketplace owner’s point of view? Once they stopped paying, how do we know if they have done this deliberately or just missed a payment? I understand that Vendors can setup a recurring payment or pay manually each time, so how do we distinguish between vendors who have not cancelled and are just late paying the latest month, and those that have cancelled their payments completely?

What will their Membership status be if a vendor has cancelled their plan?

What will their Membership status be if they are late with a payment?

For both of these, what happens to their store and products – are they hidden from the site?

Thanks. For 3, I noticed that for a Vendor with an inactive membership, if they click on My Account, the Dashboard link isn’t shown (I guess because they are no longer a vendor?). So unless they have bookmarked the Dashboard page and revisit this, they won’t see this and notice the ‘Resubmit Application’ button! This isn’t linked to in the standard email either so I’m not sure how they would know how to re-apply?

Also how does the marketplace admin add a note when rejecting their application? I can see ‘Test note’ was added when a Vendor was rejected but I didn’t type this text – how is this generated and how can it be changed?

Hi, as we are building a marketplace with lots of Vendors, we are wondering who else has created this and also uses Stripe Marketplace.

We need a process to check which Vendors have (and haven’t) connected their Stripe account. If a Vendor hasn’t connected Stripe, but adds products, users will get the error message when adding their products to their basket

    1. How can we edit this text? (“You have products belonging to more than one vendor in your cart who might be facing some technical issues. Contact the admin for more details.”)

    2. Can Payment Method be shown as a column in the User list? This will show us who hasn’t connected Stripe yet.

    3. Is there a way to manually temporarily disable a Vendor’s membership until they have enabled Stripe, then we can enable again?
We tried this by selecting ‘De-activate plan’ on the Membership list page, but we can’t re-enable a membership (that user has the same Plan highlighted on the Membership plan page but it can’t be activated)?
    OR
Could a Vendors profile and products only be shown once they have connected a payment method?
