Brief Introduction #
Some products shouldn’t be bought in bulk, others should only be sold that way. The Min Max module gives you control over both scenarios. This module allows marketplace admin and store owners to control the minimum and maximum quantity of products that customers can purchase in a single order, as well as define order total limits when required.
Admins can configure global rules that apply across the marketplace, while store owners are given the flexibility to define their own limits at the product level.
The admin can set global minimum and maximum quantity or order amount limits that will automatically apply to all store products if store owners do not define their own values. Alternatively, the admin can leave these fields blank, allowing store owners to configure limits entirely based on their individual business requirements. When both admin-level and vendor-level rules are set, vendor-level rules take priority, allowing sellers to manage their inventory according to their individual business needs.
Required module and setup #
- Module name : Min Max
To get started, let us first enable the Min Max module.
- Go to Admin Dashboard → MultiVendorX → Modules
- Select the Marketplace Boosters tab
- Find Min Max and enable it.
Note: The module starts working immediately after activation. However, purchase restrictions will only apply once minimum or maximum values are configured.

Marketplace-wide min max rules #
After enabling the module, the next step is configuring the global purchase limits for the marketplace.
These settings allow the admin to define default restrictions that apply across all store products. To do that :
- Go to MultiVendorX → Settings
- Open the Marketing tab → Min Max
From this page, the admin can set:
- Order-level purchase limits
- Product-level purchase limits
Product-level purchase limits #
Configure purchase restrictions for individual products to prevent bulk buying or enforce minimum order quantities.
- Purchase Quantity Limits – Allows you to define the minimum and maximum number of units a customer can purchase for a specific product in a single order.
- Product / Listing Purchase Amount – Enables you to control the minimum and maximum total amount a customer can spend on an individual product or listing.
This determines how many units of a product customers must add to the cart before they can proceed with checkout.

Example workflow #
- Minimum quantity set: 5
- Maximum quantity set: 20
If a customer adds only 2 units to the cart:
- The purchase condition is not satisfied
- Checkout is blocked
- The customer sees a validation message in the cart or checkout page
If the customer adds 25 units:
- The maximum limit is exceeded
The customer must reduce the quantity before proceeding
Once the quantity falls within the allowed range, checkout becomes available again automatically.
- Order Purchase Limits
Set restrictions at the cart/order level to control bulk purchases or enforce minimum order requirements.
- Total Items – Lets you specify the minimum and maximum number of items a customer can add to their cart before proceeding to checkout.
- Order Value – Allows you to define the minimum and maximum total order amount required to complete a purchase. These limits apply to all products marketplace-wide.

Configuration from the Store Dashboard #
To set the Min/Max quantity for a new product, the Store Owner should follow these steps:
- Go to Store Dashboard → Products → Add New
- Scroll down to Min Max Section
- Enter the Minimum Quantity, Maximum Quantity, and Minimum , Maximum Order Value limits
- Click Publish to save

Min/Max Quantity View for Customers #
Customers will be able to view the minimum and maximum quantity and order amount requirements directly in their cart and during the checkout process.

Note: If the minimum or maximum purchase conditions are not met, the customer will not be able to purchase the product.
