Configuration of PayPal Payout from the admin dashboard #
To set up a fully functional PayPal Payout system for disbursing store commissions, the admin must configure the PayPal settings within MultiVendorX.
From the admin dashboard, navigate to MultiVendorX → Settings and open the Finance tab. Within this section, go to Withdrawal Methods, locate the PayPal Payout option, and click Enable.
Once enabled, the admin will be required to select the payment mode and enter the Client ID and Client Secret associated with their PayPal account. To get the PayPal API details you can visit the page here.
Note: Select Sandbox Mode when testing the PayPal Payout setup before enabling it in a live environment.
Configuration from the Store dashboard #
To receive commissions via PayPal Payout, the store owner needs to navigate to Settings from their store dashboard and then open the Payouts section. From there, they can select the PayPal Payout option and enter the PayPal email address linked to their PayPal account. Once saved, this email will be used to receive commission payments.
Note:PayPal Payout is an automatic payment method. Once a store owner selects PayPal Payout as their preferred commission withdrawal option and submits a withdrawal request from their dashboard, the payment is processed automatically. Apart from this, the payout is released based on the payout frequency configured by the admin.
