Store Review

Brief Introduction #

Customer feedback is the backbone of any successful marketplace. Reviews help potential buyers make informed decisions while giving store owners valuable insights to improve their offerings. 

The MultiVendorX Store Review module lets customers share their experiences and rate different aspects of a store. Store owners can view these reviews directly from their dashboard, allowing them to monitor feedback, build trust, and enhance the overall shopping experience.

Required Module  #

Flow from the Admin Dashboard #

To begin, the admin must first enable the Store Review module you will have to:

  1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard → MultiVendorX → Modules
  2. At the top, select the Customer Experience tab
  3. Find the Store Review module in the list
  4. Enable it

Once the module is activated, we can proceed with the configuration. To access the settings:

  1. Go to MultiVendorX and click on the Settings submenu
  2. Open the Marketplace tab
  3. Click Store Reviews to manage how customers review stores

Here are the settings you can configure: 

  • Verified Buyer Reviews Only – Enabling this ensures that only customers who have actually purchased from a store can leave a review.
  • Rating Parameters – Here, the admin can define the key criteria that customers will use to evaluate each store.

A few default rating parameters are provided. These can be modified to suit your requirements; however, they cannot be deleted until new options are added. In addition, you can create custom rating parameters, which can be edited or removed as needed.

NOTE: What we are configuring here is the Store Review settings. This has nothing to do with product review. Product reviews are handled directly by Woocommerce. To enable that go to Woocommerce → Settings → Products → Enable Product Reviews.

Customer/Buyer Ratings #


Customers can rate and review stores based on the configuration set by the admin.

To review a store, customers can visit the store’s shop page. They can then leave feedback in the form of ratings or reviews from the Review.

Alternatively, customers will also have the option to leave a review on the Thank You page after placing an order, as well as on the sub-order details page under the Orders section in their My Account area.

Review Option in the Store Dashboard #

From the Store Dashboard store owners can easily check reviews for their store:

  • Go to Store Support in the menu
  • Click on Customer Reviews from the dropdown

That’s it! All the reviews will be visible here. Store owners can reply to reviews by clicking on the  action option.


Review option in the Admin Dashboard  #

The admin can also view the details of reviews submitted by customers by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the Admin Dashboard and click on MultiVendorX.
  2. Navigate to Customer’s → Store Reviews.
  3. From here, the admin can view all customer reviews, reply to them, or delete them if required.
